    Full text manual (for reference)

Setup guide for the HomeSeer HSM200 multisensor — a line-powered Z-Wave device that senses motion, temperature, and light levels, and works with most Z-Wave certified controllers/hubs. Since it's line powered (no batteries), it can also function as a Z-Wave network repeater. HomeSeer HS3 users can program its multi-color LED to change color based on home events.

Adding the HSM200 to Your Z-Wave Network

    HomeSeer HS3 System Users

    1. Navigate to Plug-ins → Z-Wave → Controller Management. Expand your Z-Wave controller.
    2. Open the Actions menu and select Add / Include Z-Wave Device.
    3. Click Start to begin, then press the button once on the side of the HSM200 to put it into Inclusion mode. This may take a moment.

    Non-HomeSeer Systems

The HSM200 is a Z-Wave certified multi-sensor that should work with any Z-Wave certified controller. Follow your controller manufacturer's procedure for adding ("pairing") the device. Note: the Color Control feature only works if your control system supports the Z-Wave Color Command Class — check compatibility with your system manufacturer.

    Removing the HSM200 (HS3 Users)

    1. Navigate to Plug-ins → Z-Wave → Controller Management. Expand your Z-Wave controller.
    2. Open the Actions menu and select Remove / Exclude Z-Wave Device.
    3. Click Start, then press the button once on the side of the HSM200 to put it into Exclusion mode. This is typically quick.

    Configuring Device Settings

    1. Go to your Device Management page (or Home) and click the Root device for the HSM200.
    2. Click the Z-Wave tab to open the Z-Wave Device control page.
    3. Here you can rescan, optimize, or remove the device. Expand the Settings section to configure the Node's Name and Location.

    Creating Events for Color Control

The HSM200's built-in multi-colored LED can be programmed with events to change color based on home activity. For HomeSeer HS3 users:

    1. Go to View → Events and create a new event.
    2. After selecting your trigger, choose the Control a Device action.
    3. Select the HSM200 Z-Wave Color Control option.
    4. Choose which color the LED should change to based on your trigger.

    Updating Device Firmware

    1. Go to your Device Management page and click the Root device for the HSM200.
    2. Click the Z-Wave tab to open the Z-Wave Device control page.
    3. In the Firmware Update section, click Select File and choose the HSM200 firmware upgrade file.
    4. Let the upgrade procedure finish before leaving the page.

    Setting Up Device Associations

    1. Go to your Device Management page and click the Root node for the HSM200.
    2. Click the Z-Wave tab to open the Z-Wave Device control page.
    3. Expand the Associations section — the device auto-associates with HomeSeer, but can be associated with other devices too.
