    Full text manual (for reference)

User Manual for the Haven Hub — a Wi-Fi bridge that connects your Haven Smart Lock(s) to the internet, enabling remote lock/unlock control via the Haven app or myhavenlock.com.

    Requirements

    • Internet service
    • Internet router with an available Ethernet port
    • An active Haven owner account for the lock

    Haven Hub Setup

    1. Connect the antenna to the back of the Haven Hub and tighten by turning clockwise. Position the antenna straight up.
    2. Plug the Ethernet cord into your internet router and connect the other end to the back of the Haven Hub.
    3. Connect the power cable to the Haven Hub and plug the power adapter into a working outlet.
    4. Compare the lights on the Haven Hub to the LED Logo Indicator chart below to ensure it's functioning properly.
    5. Complete setup by following the "Pair a Device" instructions in the Haven app.
    6. After configuration, control the Haven Hub with the Haven app or at myhavenlock.com.

    Before beginning pairing, check:

    • Your Haven Smart Lock is installed and paired successfully to your phone as the owner.
    • The latest version of the Haven app is downloaded and installed on your phone.
    • The Haven Hub is connected to the router and has a live internet connection.

    Testing Your Remote Connection

    1. Open the Haven app, then select your lock from the home screen.
    2. Press the green globe (remote connection) button, then press the lock/unlock button.

    LED Logo Indicator

    Color Meaning
    White (solid) Starting up
White (fade in and out) Ready to pair
    Blue Normal operation
    Amber (blinking) Factory reset
    Red Not connected to internet
    Magenta Searching for Haven Lock
Amber (fade in, fade out) Firmware download in progress
    Amber (rapid blinking) Updating firmware

    Reset the Haven Hub

Gently insert a paperclip into the pinhole on the back of the unit. This changes the LED from blue back to white; the LED briefly flashes amber, indicating the hub is resetting and rebooting.

    Get Prepped (Full Setup Walkthrough)

    1. Once your lock is installed and fully charged, download the HAVEN Lock App from the App Store or Google Play Store. Set up your account within the app and ensure Bluetooth is activated on your smart device.
    2. To prepare the hub: connect the Ethernet cable to your router, screw in the antenna, and prepare the power adapter (but do not plug it in yet).
    3. Launch the HAVEN Lock App and tap the "+" button (upper right for iOS, bottom right for Android).

    Pairing the Haven Hub

    1. After pressing "+", iOS users see a "Pair a Device" pop-up — press it. Android users press the blue "Pair a Gateway" option.
    2. Read all instructions/disclaimers on the Pair a Device/Gateway screen carefully, then press the blue "Pair a Device" button (iOS) or green "Get Started" button (Android).
    3. iOS only: Once paired to a HAVEN lock unit, a hub-pairing icon appears to the right of the HAVEN button — press it. (Android users skip to step 4.)
    4. Plug in your HAVEN Hub. The hub LED should pulse white, indicating it's ready to pair.
    5. On the app's Set Up/Pair Gateway screen, hold the mobile device 2–3 inches from the hub and press the blue/green "Get Started" button.
    6. Review the connection checklist to confirm everything is correct before continuing.
    7. If the hub isn't flashing white, reset it (see above) — after resetting it should pulse white.
    8. Ensure you're within 100 feet of all locks being operated and that you're the owner of every HAVEN lock involved — failing this prevents pairing.
    9. After pressing the green button, the app scans for the hub and pairs all available locks (takes about 2–3 seconds depending on network).
    10. The LED turns solid blue and all HAVEN units become operable via the Haven Hub.

Confirming the Haven Hub Is Working

    1. Drive the bolt on the HAVEN lock 3 times to confirm the new unit works properly.
    2. Open the app and go to the lock dashboard from the My Locks & eKeys menu.
    3. In the lock dashboard, find the toggle that differentiates Bluetooth vs. remote operation — it should be toggled right, indicating the lock is paired and receiving commands via the hub. If the switch is blue, the hub isn't connected and the lock is operating via Bluetooth only.
    4. Perform a local lock via the app; confirm the hub flashes blue 3 times (lock command in progress). After success, the HAVEN lock locks, flashes its LED yellow, and beeps once.
    5. The app should update to show a "locked" status.
    6. Perform a local unlock via the app; confirm the hub flashes blue 3 times (unlock command in progress). After success, the lock unlocks, flashes its LED green, and beeps twice.
    7. Press the green lock dashboard button once more to lock the HAVEN and confirm the servo motor is properly engaged and communicating with the hub.

    Un-Pairing the Haven Hub

Toggle the switch in the lock dashboard off so the lock operates via Bluetooth only. This cuts off all Wi-Fi communication between the app and hub — local locks/unlocks continue to work normally.

    Reset (Soft) the Haven Hub

    1. Insert a paperclip gently into the pinhole on the back of the unit once.
    2. The LED changes from blue back to white, briefly flashing amber (hub resetting/rebooting).
    3. Once successfully reset, the hub should pulse white, ready to pair. Note: the lock dashboard may take 5–10 minutes to reflect the disconnect status.
    4. When properly unpaired, the dashboard shows a small Bluetooth icon above the lock dashboard (where the hub toggle switch was), indicating HAVEN has reverted to local (Bluetooth-only) connections.

    Factory Reset the Haven Hub

    1. Disconnect the hub from power.
    2. Press and hold the reset button on the back of the hub. While holding it, reconnect power and wait 10 seconds before releasing, until the LED flashes amber.
    3. The LED fades in/out then blinks rapid amber for about 3 minutes (firmware downloading/updating). After about 5 minutes, the LED fades in/out white and the factory reset is complete.
