GE/Sentrol Power Supervision Module — Installation Instructions (204-6V / 204-12/24V)

Installation instructions for the GE / Sentrol Power Supervision Module — models 204-6V and 204-12/24V — which monitors the health of an electrical device's power supply and reports a supervisory fault to a connected alarm control panel if that power is lost.

Overview

The Power Supervision Module is wired in series with an end-of-line device to supervise the operating voltage of a connected electrical device (such as a card access controller, electric door strike, or other 12/24V accessory). If power to the supervised device is interrupted, the module's contact opens and the alarm panel's initiating circuit reports a trouble/supervisory condition. Two versions are available depending on the supervised device's operating voltage range.

Installation Instructions

1. Connect the brown initiating leads as indicated so that the end-of-line device is connected in series with the power supervising contact (see the wiring diagram in the original manual).
2. Connect the appropriate control leads as shown: red incoming and red from the module go to terminal 1; black incoming and black from the module go to terminal 2.
3. Neatly dress the wires and the power supervision unit into the junction box.
4. Mount the supervised detector/device according to the manufacturer's installation instructions.
