Full user manual for the FortrezZ MIMOlite Multiple Input/Multiple Output Z-Wave interface and bridge module, covering specifications, Z-Wave inclusion/exclusion, associations, and installation wiring.
Full user manual for the FortrezZ MIMOlite — a Z-Wave® Multiple Input/Multiple Output interface and bridge module that converts a wired or wireless input into a wired or wireless output. Housed in a plastic enclosure for indoor use only.
MIMOlite provides one analog/digital input (SIG1) and one isolated relay output (NO-COM-NC), all controllable via Z-Wave. A program switch handles Z-Wave inclusion/exclusion, and a status LED reports device state. The analog input can trigger based on a user-defined voltage range, count pulses, and be associated with up to two other Z-Wave devices so they automatically turn on/off in response to a trigger.
| Power | 12-16 VDC @ ~300mA |
| Frequency Range | 908.4MHz (US); 868.4MHz (EU) |
| Distance Range | Max 100ft line of sight, unobstructed |
| Enclosure Size | 3-3/8" (85mm) x 2-1/2" (64mm) x 1-1/4" (30mm) |
| Weight | 4 oz (100g) |
| Operating Temperature | -10°C (14°F) to +70°C (158°F) |
| Input Signal (SIG1) | Digital or analog, 0-16V DC, 16 Hz max pulse counting (min. 32ms high/low). Trigger levels/hysteresis configurable via Configuration Command Class. |
| Output Relay 1 | SPDT, max 120W switching power, 10µA to 10A; high dielectric strength; conforms to FCC Part 68 |
The MIMOlite input supports five association groups (max 2 devices each):
| Group | Function |
|---|---|
| 1 | Input triggered/untriggered — sends on/off command to associated device(s) |
| 2 | Periodic report of input's analog voltage level |
| 3 | Power dropout notification |
| 4 | Binary Sensor report on trigger/untrigger |
| 5 | Pulse meter counts sent to associated device(s) |
| Fast Blinks | Slow Blinks | Periodic? | Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | — | Yes | Network-Wide Inclusion Mode (auto-entered at power-up if not in-network) |
| 2 | — | No | In-network indication (after inclusion/power up) |
| 4 | — | Yes | Not in-network (after NWI button press, failed inclusion, or exclusion) |
| — | 1 | Yes | Power input dropout (voltage below ~10.5V) |
The relay can be set to auto-turn-on when the input is triggered (Configuration Command Class Parameter 3), or controlled directly via Z-Wave commands (default: no input-to-relay mapping — when mapping is enabled, Z-Wave relay commands are overridden). Momentary vs. Latched operation is selected via jumper P5 on the circuit board (jumper off = momentary, default 500ms; jumper on = latched). This can also be overridden once in-network via Z-Wave Parameter 11, with momentary duration adjustable from 100ms to 25.5s in 100ms increments.
If supplied power drops below ~10.5V, MIMOlite sends an Alarm Command Class report (Type 0x08, Level 0xFF) to Association Group 3. When power recovers above ~11V, it sends a corresponding recovery alarm (Type 0x08, Level 0x00).
One-year limited manufacturer warranty against defects in material and workmanship under normal use. FortrezZ's liability is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase amount. Returns require a valid Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) and, if returning directly to FortrezZ, a $9.95 return shipping/handling fee within 30 days of purchase.
