Flipper Big Button Remote — Quick Setup Guide

Quick setup guide for the Flipper Big Button Remote — a universal remote preset to work with most TVs and set-top boxes (STBs) right out of the box.

Quick Test (Try This First)

Flipper ships pre-programmed for many TVs and STBs. Before doing any setup, just test it:

• Press and release TV (the light blinks once) — test power on/off and volume.
• Press and release STB — test power on/off and channel change.

If both devices respond correctly, you're done — no further setup needed. If not, follow the setup steps below.

Setup Steps (If Devices Don't Respond)

1. Set TV: Press and hold TV until the light turns solid, then enter the 4-digit device code. Test power on/off and volume.
2. Set STB: Press and hold STB until the light turns solid, then enter the 4-digit device code. Test power on/off and channel change.
3. Dual Mode: Press and release ADD once, then test all keys.
4. Favorites (optional): See Step 3, page 5 of the full manual booklet for setup instructions.
5. Lock the remote: Press and hold ADD until the light turns solid, then enter code 955. (For TV-only lock: press and hold TV until solid, then enter 955.)
