Installation and care guide for the evolve EV3011 Single-Function Showerhead with ShowerStart® TSV — a water-saving showerhead that automatically throttles to a trickle once your shower water reaches temperature, so you're not wasting hot water while you wait.

Overview

How it works: continue your normal routine while the shower warms up. Once the water reaches 95°F, ShowerStart automatically drops the flow to a trickle — saving hot water until you're ready to get in. When you know the water's warm, simply pull the cord to resume full flow and begin showering.

Maximizing Your Savings

• Rotate the shower's faucet to the hottest setting available when turning on the shower — this brings the shower to warm temperature fastest.
• Return to the shower as soon as possible once the trickle begins.

Codes / Standards

WaterSense certified. Conforms to A112.18.1M. For use with automatic compensating valves rated at 1.1 gpm (4.2 L/min) or less.

Important Safety Information

ShowerStart TSV is NOT an anti-scald device.

• Lower your water heater temperature to prevent scalding accidents. Water temperatures above 120°F can cause severe burns or even death.
• Always resume water flow and check water temperature before entering the shower.
• Not designed for use with tankless hot water heaters.

Installation

1. Wrap plumber's tape in a clockwise direction tightly around the screw threads on the shower pipe. The tape will stretch — this is desired and creates a solid seal to prevent water leakage.
2. Hand-tighten the showerhead clockwise onto the shower pipe. It will operate effectively in any position, though the preferred position places the pull cord on the side of the shower pipe closest to the shower's entry.

Cleaning the Nozzles

The showerhead has easy-to-clean, anti-clog spray nozzles. To remove mineral deposits, simply glide your finger along the nozzle tips while the showerhead is running.

Troubleshooting

Things to check if the showerhead won't resume normal flow:

1. Try pulling the cord. The water may have already been warm, or someone may have recently taken a shower — either can leave the showerhead in trickle mode.
2. Check for a blocking washer. A washer from a previous showerhead may be blocking water flow. Remove the showerhead and inspect the valve at the end that connects to the shower pipe. A clear valve shows a set of circular holes in a flower pattern around a copper stem. If blocked, remove the obstruction and re-install.
3. Check water pressure. The showerhead requires at least 30 psi static water pressure to function properly — homes on well water or with generally low pressure may fall below this.

Warranty

3 Year Limited Lifetime Warranty. Evolve Technologies warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship for three years from date of purchase, limited to repair or replacement at Evolve's discretion. A Return Material Authorization (RMA) number is required before returning any product, along with proof of date and place of purchase. This warranty does not cover damage from accident, negligence, misapplication, or unauthorized alteration, and applies to the original purchaser only.
