    How ShowerStart® TSV Works

    • Automatically reduces flow to a trickle once water reaches 95°F (35°C)
    • Normal flow resumes by pulling the lanyard (or toggling the bypass lever)
    • Automatically resets for next use once water flow to the showerhead is terminated

    The valve saves the hot water wasted during a user's warm-up routine (behavioral waste) by trickling flow once the target temperature is reached, until the user pulls the lanyard to resume normal flow. Designed for static water pressures of 30 PSI or higher.

    Technical Notes

    • The ShowerStart TSV is not an anti-scald device — lower the water heater to a maximum of 120°F (49°C).
    • Always resume water flow and check water temperature before entering the shower.
    • Tankless systems require a minimum flow rate to produce hot water; when used with some tankless systems, a brief, noticeable temperature change may occur shortly after resuming normal flow.
