    Full text manual (for reference)

    Overview

The DoorBellFon DP29-CI Inbound Relay Trigger Controller is an add-on module that provides an 800ms (8/10 second) dry-closure output whenever the Door Station button is pressed. It lets a doorbell, chime, camera, light, or other external device be triggered alongside your phone whenever a visitor rings the door station.

Important: this module does not supply power to external devices — it connects an external power source through the dry-closure contact on the module, which then feeds the connected device.

    Features

    • Compact footprint — mounts in a structured wiring cabinet or directly on a wall
    • Activates any external trigger device (doorbell/chime, camera, light) while a companion DP28-C module activates telephones
    • Powered by 2 internal AA batteries, an optional external DP29PS12V power supply, or any external 3.5–5.0V DC power supply
    • Simple installation, no special tools required

    Applications

    • Doorbells and melodic chimes
    • Cameras and camera switchers
    • Exterior lights
    • Strobe lights (for the hearing impaired)

    Specifications

    Dimensions 5.8125" x 2" x 0.875" (unit); 6" x 2.188" x 1.750" with dust cover; 6.875" x 2" base with butterfly clips
    Power ratings 1.0A at 30 VDC / 0.5A at 125 VAC / 0.3A at 60 VDC

    Wiring Procedure

    1. Connect Door Phone (+) and (−) on the DP29-CI to the (+) and (−) wires running from the Door Station to the Main Controller.
    2. Connect the trigger device to the Door Chime terminal on the DP29-CI (no polarity required).
    3. Power the module: insert 2 AA batteries, or connect a 12V DC 100mA center-positive power adapter to the DC/IN jack.

Typical hookup: the DP29-CI sits between the Door Station Controller and the Door Station itself, tapping the (+)/(−) door phone wiring, while a separate connection runs to the doorbell transformer and door chime/trigger device.
