Product specification sheet for the Cool Components Advanced Ventilation Controller (TC-AVC).
Product specification sheet for the Cool Components Advanced Ventilation Controller (TC-AVC) — a programmable thermostat used to control high and low voltage fans, typically for ventilation of closets or enclosures with remote fans.
The TC-AVC can be hardwired to control most high-voltage fans, such as the Cool Components VS-IDF Inline Duct Fan or the VS-RSC Remote System Cooler. It controls low-voltage fans by hardwiring into an electrical outlet and plugging the fan's power adapter into that outlet.
The controller lets users select set points for turning fans and alarms on, is wall- and rack-mountable, and features a backlit LCD display showing ambient temperature. An optional 20-foot remote sensor is available for added versatility — useful for sensing/controlling temperature in a projector enclosure, rack, or other remote location.
The controller has 2 primary relays for fan and alarm functions, plus 3 additional relays for advanced functionality:
Example: attach primary fans to relay #1, secondary fans to relay #2, and additional venting fans to relay #3, scaling airflow as temperature rises.
This is a high-voltage product — contract a licensed electrician for safe, proper installation per local building and electrical codes. All relays and outputs are high voltage; do NOT connect low-voltage devices directly to the unit, which will result in catastrophic equipment damage and personal injury.
