    Installation

    1. Punch down as many as 4 incoming telephone lines on the input 110 punch-down block. Use a 110 punch-down tool to seat and trim all wires (note the correct position of the cutter as shown in the diagram).
    2. Connect any of the telephone outputs to wall plates in each room, distributing the telephone signal throughout the house.

    Using the Service Jack (RJ31X to Security Panel)

    The service jack is used to send dial tone to an alarm panel and then return dial tone to the phone distribution system, on a single 8-position plug. The switch enables Line 1 interrupt for security delivery.

    • The center pair (blue and blue/white) delivers dial tone to the alarm system.
    • Dial tone returns on the outer conductors (brown and green/white*).
    • *Color code references assume the TIA 568A color scheme.

    RJ31X wiring schematic: On the miniature 8-position plug, positions R1/T1 connect to the alarm system, and R/T positions connect from the alarm system, per the diagram in the PDF.

    Warranty

    Channel Vision Technology will repair or replace any defect in material or workmanship occurring during normal use, with new or rebuilt parts, free of charge in the USA, for two years from the date of original purchase. No mail-in warranty card is needed. This warranty does not cover shipping damage, failures caused by other manufacturers' products, or failures from accident, misuse, abuse, or alteration. Warranty is extended only to the original purchaser; proof of purchase date is required for warranty repairs.

    Mail-in service is available during the warranty period by calling (800) 840-0288 toll free. A Return Authorization number must be obtained in advance and marked on the shipping carton.
