Chamberlain MyQ Smart Garage Hub (MYQ-G0301) — Manual for iOS

Manual for the Chamberlain MyQ Smart Garage Hub (Models MYQ-G0301, MYQ-G0301C, MYQ-G0301-D, MYQ-G0301LA) for iOS devices — retrofits nearly any garage door opener with app-based monitoring and control, without replacing the opener itself.

Safety Warning

To reduce the risk of severe injury: Do NOT enable the MyQ Smart Garage Hub if operating either one-piece or swinging doors — it may be enabled ONLY on a sectional door. If used with residential door openers, this product must only be used with door openers manufactured after 1993 that utilize photoelectric sensors (typically located near the bottom of the door track).

Before You Start — Requirements

• A router with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi frequency, configured for 802.11 B/G/N
• Router within 50 ft. of the MyQ Smart Garage Hub
• Mobile phone connected to your home Wi-Fi network, with the network password on hand
• Latest version of the MyQ App (Note: if using iOS 10, use the Alternative Installation Method described below)
• A compatible garage door opener (see Compatible Openers below)
• Located program/learn button on the garage door opener

What's in the Box

• MyQ Smart Garage Hub (with Blue/Green/Yellow status LEDs, Light and Test buttons)
• Door Sensor (Model MYQ-G0302, with Red LED and Test button)
• Power Adapter, Mounting bracket, Fastening strips for door sensor
• Hardware for Wi-Fi Hub (5/32" x 1-1/2" screws) and Door Sensor (5/32" x 3/4" screws)

Tools needed: Drill, 5/32" drill bit, screwdriver, ladder.

Compatible Garage Door Openers

Compatible with the following brands manufactured after 1993 with safety sensors:

• Chamberlain, LiftMaster, Craftsman, and other Chamberlain-manufactured openers
• Wayne Dalton 372.5 MHz
• Linear
• Stanley
• Genie/Overhead Door manufactured 1993–2015 (not compatible with openers manufactured after 2016, unless the MyQ Hub has a date code of 04/18 or later, which is compatible with all Genie/Overhead Door openers manufactured since 1996)

Troubleshooting

Wi-Fi signal issues

• Move your router closer to the garage to minimize wall/object interference, or buy a Wi-Fi range extender.

Door sensor red LED doesn't blink when test button is pressed

1. Make sure the pull tab has been removed from the door sensor.
2. Open the door sensor (press the button on the bottom and pull the front cover off) and check for debris on the battery.
3. Slide the battery out to confirm the pull tab didn't break off underneath, or that there's no residue — then reinstall.
4. Close the sensor and press test again; if the LED still doesn't light, replace the battery (3V Lithium, size CR2450).

"That username already exists" error when creating an account

Your email was previously used for a MyQ account. Tap Forgot Password on the login screen to receive a temporary password by email, then proceed with Wireless Setup.

Hub LED won't turn solid green during Wi-Fi setup

The LED sequences through flash patterns before going solid green — check the pattern:

• Goes back to flashing blue: Verify your Wi-Fi password.
• Flashing blue and green: Power cycle your router; check Wi-Fi signal strength at the hub's location; check router settings; clear the hub's Wi-Fi settings (hold Settings button until blue LED blinks, ~10 seconds) and reconnect using the Alternative Installation Method below.
• Flashing green: Check that your router allows TCP/UDP port 8883 and TCP/UDP port 53.

Alternative Installation Method (e.g., for iOS 10)

1. Confirm the blue LED on the hub is blinking.
2. On your phone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and select the network with the "MyQ-nnn" prefix.
3. Open a web browser and enter setup.myqdevice.com; follow the on-screen prompts to connect the hub to your Wi-Fi network.
4. Download the MyQ App, set up an account, and add the MyQ serial number (on the manual's cover) to your account.

Garage door doesn't move when pairing the opener

First confirm your opener is on the compatible list, then test the door sensor:

• Door sensor test: Press the test button — the hub should beep and the sensor's red LED should blink. If not, replace the battery.
• Low battery test: Press and release the test button, wait 5–10 seconds, repeat five more times. The hub should beep with each press; if not every time, replace the battery (3V Lithium, CR2450).

Account error: "The user is locked out. (207)"

1. Tap Forgot Password.
2. Enter your account email to receive a new generic password (check spam/junk if not received).
3. Log in with the new generic password (valid until changed).
4. Change your password via Menu > your name > change password.

Error: "That device is on another user's account. Unable to add (310)"

This means the hub was previously added to a different MyQ account. Perform a Factory Default to resolve (see below).

Factory Default (erases Wi-Fi settings, door sensors, and account association)

1. Press and hold the Settings button until the blue LED blinks (~10 seconds), then release.
2. Press and hold the Settings button again until the hub beeps — the hub is now reset to factory default.

Compatible Accessories

• PILCEV-P1 — MyQ Remote Lamp Control (plug-in lamp switch, controlled via app)
• WSLCEV-P1 — MyQ Interior/Exterior Light Switch (wall switch, controlled via app)
• MYQ-G0302 — MyQ Smart Garage Hub Add-on Door Sensor (supports a second garage door)

Not compatible: MYQ-G0202 or 041D7924 door sensors.
