    Replacing an Existing Door Sensor

If replacing a sensor, do this first:

    1. Press and release the Test button on the existing sensor until the Wi-Fi Hub beeps. Note the number of beeps (1 beep = door 1, 2 beeps = door 2 on the hub).
    2. Remove the existing door sensor from the garage door.
    3. Remove the existing fastening strips from the door.
    4. Open the old sensor and remove its battery.
    5. Dispose of the old sensor and battery properly.

    Mounting the Door Sensor

    1. Remove the pull tab from the new door sensor to activate its battery.
    2. Install the new door sensor on a clean, dry area of the top panel of the garage door, using the included fastening strips (or optional screws for solid wood/insulated doors only).
    3. If using with a MyQ Garage (not the myQ Smart Garage Hub), the included spacer MUST be installed along with the door sensor.
    4. Press the door sensor (and spacer, if used) firmly against the garage door for 30 seconds to ensure a secure attachment.

    Programming the Door Sensor

Use the myQ App to add the new door sensor to your second garage door (full app setup instructions at Chamberlain.com/myQsupport).

If replacing an existing sensor, program the new one to match:

    1. Recall whether the Wi-Fi Hub beeped once or twice for your old sensor's Test button press.
    2. On the Wi-Fi Hub, press and release Button 1 (for 1 beep) or Button 2 (for 2 beeps). The hub's yellow LED will turn on.
    3. On the new door sensor, press and release the Test button. The Wi-Fi Hub will flash and beep to confirm successful programming.
    4. In the myQ app, confirm you can open and close the garage door to verify successful programming.

    Testing the Door Sensor

Test the sensor every 6 months, or any time the myQ system isn't working as expected.

    1. Press and release the Test button — the sensor's LED should blink, and the myQ Smart Garage Hub or MyQ Garage should beep.
    2. Wait 5-10 seconds, then repeat the test 5 more times (waiting 5-10 seconds between each).
    3. If the LED doesn't blink or the hub doesn't beep on any press, replace the sensor's battery with a 3V Lithium CR2450.
