Installation manual for the Cabletronix CTARM-4 quad RF modulator — a 4-channel audio/video-to-RF modulator that lets you combine up to four independent A/V sources onto a single coax distribution system, alongside your existing off-air or cable TV signal.

Front Panel Controls

• Quad modulator selector — switches which of the 4 modulators is being programmed
• LED channel display
• CATV / Off-Air toggle button
• Channel up/down buttons
• AC power jack
• 4 audio (right & left) and video inputs — one set per modulator
• Antenna or CATV input ('F' jack)
• RF output (combined with antenna input)
• RF gain control (rear panel, screwdriver-adjustable)

The 4 modulators (1, 2, 3, 4) are fully independent, each with its own audio/video inputs corresponding to the currently selected front-panel modulator. Use any or all as needed — this design supports easy future expansion.

Hardware Connection

1. Connect the RCA cable from the video source (satellite receiver, DVD, VCR, camera, etc.) to the yellow RCA video input jack.
2. Connect the RCA cable from the audio source to the red/white RCA jack(s). Use both for dual (stereo) input, or either one for single/mono input.
3. To combine your signal with an off-air or CATV feed, connect the coaxial cable from the antenna or CATV service to the antenna input port.
4. Connect the RF output to your RF distribution system, or directly to a television.

Channel Selection & Power Adjustment

1. Use the SELECT button to choose modulator 1, 2, 3, or 4.
2. Push UP or DOWN to set the desired channel for the selected modulator only. Toggle CATV/OFF-AIR to choose between CATV-compatible or off-air-compatible channel numbering. After 15 seconds, the channel is automatically saved to memory (and retained through a power outage).
3. To adjust signal output level, use a screwdriver to rotate the gain knob on the back of the unit — clockwise increases output, counter-clockwise decreases it.
