    Overview

    The AutoSlide Handwave Sensor offers effortless tap-to-trigger control for AutoSlide automatic door units. It can be connected either wirelessly or hardwired to the AutoSlide unit. Wirelessly connected, it opens the door to the full default width. Hardwired, it can also open to a partial pet-width setting (assuming Pet Mode is programmed). Each sensor requires 2x CR2032 batteries (included), and comes with 4 ft. 2 in. (plus a 12 ft. 3 in. extension) of cabling for hardwired installs.

    A switch on the back of the sensor toggles between Inside ("M") and Outside ("S") sensor connection. Maximum trigger distance is approximately 4"–6" from the front surface, depending on ambient brightness. AutoSlide has an installation video at vimeo.com/301950674.

    Wireless Installation

    1. Slide the panel on the back of the sensor down to release it (no need to remove the top screw).
    2. Insert the included batteries — 2x CR2032, one in each slot, "+" side up, grated side down.
    3. Slide the back panel back into place, keeping the panel's rectangular opening above the white port.
    4. Press "Sensor Learn" on the unit's control panel, then tap the handwave sensor (it should flash blue). Press "Sensor Learn" again, then tap the handwave sensor again.
    5. The sensor is now paired. Confirm by tapping the front — it should flash blue and open the door.

    Hardwired Installation

    1. Locate the opening on the back of the sensor showing the white port on the circuit board.
    2. Plug the included sensor cable into the white port on the back of the sensor.
    3. On the unit's control panel, locate the "Inside Sensor," "Outside Sensor," and "Pet Sensor" ports (labeled on the front).
    4. Plug the other end of the sensor cable into one of these three ports — see the port explanation table below to choose the right one.
    5. Confirm connection by tapping the front of the sensor — it should flash blue and open the door.

    Important Notes

    • If wirelessly connected, you can switch between "M" (Inside) and "S" (Outside) channels via the back switch. Pet Sensor triggering isn't available wirelessly — it requires the handwave to be hardwired to the Pet Sensor port.
    • If the handwave is hardwired to a specific sensor port, the channel switch on the back becomes ineffective.
    • On units with an installed app/WiFi Module, none of the three main sensor ports can trigger the door while the unit is in Blue/Stacker Mode (reserved for app control). To use Blue Mode outside the app, the unit must first be programmed in Blue Mode, and the handwave must be hardwired to the unlabeled sensor port on the control panel (immediately below the Pet Sensor port).
