Specification and installation guide for Arlington's Recessed Power/Low Voltage TV Box family (TVBU505/TVBU507/TVB613) — flush-mount two-, three-, and four-gang boxes for mounting flat-screen TVs against a wall.

Overview

These non-metallic combination boxes provide power on one side and Class 2 low-voltage wiring on the other (for satellite/cable TV, speakers, and similar equipment). Plugs and connectors stay inside the box without extending past the wall, giving a clean, flush finish. Boxes are available for both new construction (stud-mount) and retrofit (existing wall) installations, with steel or non-metallic body options and a paintable white trim plate.

Installation — Retrofit (Two-Gang Shown)

1. Use the enclosure (without trim plate) as a template for the opening; cut the hole.
2. Cut the drywall, attach the trim plate to the box, pull wire/cables, and install the box assembly in the opening.
3. Tighten the mounting wing screws to pull the box securely against the wall.

Installation — New Construction (Three-Gang Shown)

1. Attach the box to the stud using #6 screws — use the tabs on the box for proper depth positioning.
2. Positioning tabs are set for 1/2" and 5/8" drywall.
3. Attach the paintable trim plate with the screws provided.
4. (Optional for new work) Tighten mounting wing screws to pull the box securely against the wall.
