Mount a flat-screen TV flush against the wall with hidden power and low-voltage connections — the Arlington TVB613 recessed TV box.

    Full text manual (for reference)

Specification and installation guide for the Arlington TVB613 Recessed Double-Gang TV Box — lets you mount a flat-screen TV flush against the wall with power and low-voltage connections hidden behind it.

    Overview

The TVB613 is a 13" wide, non-metallic recessed electrical box that mounts between 16" on-center studs, for either new construction or old-work (retrofit) installations. Its double-gang, combo box design lets you install two duplex power receptacles, or use the included box separator to run one low-voltage device alongside one power duplex receptacle. Two additional built-in mounts accommodate low-voltage data/media connections such as speakers, satellite TV, and surround sound.

Because the box is recessed, plugs don't extend past the wall — the TV can sit flush, or furniture can be pushed closer to the wall.

    Product Highlights

    • Textured, paintable trim plate covers cut drywall edges
    • Positioning tabs for 1/2" wall thickness ensure accurate box placement on the stud

    New Construction Installation

    2. Install the NM cable connector, then pull power and low-voltage cables.
    3. Install the low-voltage separator if using low voltage in the double-gang box.
    4. Install power and low-voltage wiring devices.
    5. After drywall is installed, attach the trim plate to the box using four #8 x 3/4" screws, then secure it to the wall with four #8 x 1-1/2" screws (supplied). For vertical mounting to a stud, use a minimum of two #6 x 1-5/8" screws (not included) through the slotted holes.

    Old Work (Retrofit) Installation

    1. Attach the trim plate to the box section with four #8 x 3/4" screws through the mounting holes.
    2. Cut a 6" x 13-1/4" hole next to a stud.
    3. Mount the box horizontally between 16" on-center studs through the remaining four holes in the trim plate, using four #8 x 1-1/2" screws (supplied).
    4. Install the low-voltage separator if using low voltage in the double-gang box.
    5. Install power and low-voltage wiring devices.
    6. Complete wiring connections to all power and low-voltage devices.
