About Allocacoc

Allocacoc is a Netherlands-based consumer electronics company (headquartered in Delft, with a factory in Suzhou, China) focused on rethinking common products — "a different standard." Their signature product, the PowerCube, replaces the traditional power strip with a modular, mountable power solution. Allocacoc controls its own production facilities, enabling flexible manufacturing, competitive pricing (no middlemen), and tight quality control. The PowerCube family has won several design awards, including the Red Dot Award and the Good Design Award.

PowerCube Product Line

The PowerCube is modular — plugs connect to a different side of the cube so they never block each other, and multiple PowerCubes can be stacked/expanded (Allocacoc recommends no more than two additional PowerCubes mounted to one). All versions are fully grounded and child-proof.

PowerCube Original

PowerCube Original USB

Same functionality as the Original, plus a dual USB output (2 x 5V, 2100mA/10W combined) for charging phones, cameras, MP3 players, GPS units, etc.

PowerCube Extended / Extended USB

Adds a cable (1.5–3m) and a stick-on mounting dock so the PowerCube can be mounted anywhere — desktop, wall, beneath a tabletop — plus a CableFix cord organizer. The Extended USB variant adds a powered dual-USB outlet for charging mobile devices and tablets right from the desktop.

The mounting system uses removable, residue-free adhesive tape — pull the tabs to remove the dock cleanly.

PowerCube ReWirable / ReWirable USB

Designed as a "different standard" for travel adapters. Comes with a universal, fused (6-10A) socket-plug receptacle — plug in an old computer/appliance cable to convert the PowerCube into a custom-length extension cord. Reuses cables you already have instead of adding another single-use travel adapter to landfill. The ReWirable USB variant adds a dual USB output.

Note: cables are not included with the ReWirable — reuse your own for a smaller environmental footprint.

PowerBar

A flat, low-profile power strip for ungrounded plugs, delivered with a mounting bracket for under-desk/under-table installation.

Power Extension

A grounded extension cord (3–5m/10–16ft) with a unique on/off switch: twist the power plug itself to turn the outlet on or off — no separate switch to locate. Includes a child-proof lock. Selected as one of the 5 greatest innovations in the Netherlands in 2014.

PowerCube Remote & PowerRemote

A battery-free remote control for switching a PowerCube on/off from a distance. Pressing the big "Step-On" button (usable by hand or foot) generates enough kinetic energy to send a pulse to the PowerCube Remote — no batteries required, ever. The PowerRemote uses a reusable "Sticky-Pad" (rinse clean, reuse indefinitely, no residue) so it can be mounted anywhere — vertically, horizontally, or upside down.

• Pairing: press the PowerCube Remote button for 5 seconds, then click the PowerRemote to pair it.
• To resync/reset: press the button twice — all connected devices switch off.

• Kitchen — switch on the coffee maker remotely so it's ready when you get up.

A single cable with multiple built-in connector heads (Apple Lightning, Micro USB, Mini USB), so one cable covers most modern mobile devices for charging and data transfer.

Socket Types Reference

Eight common electrical outlet/plug types are offered across the PowerCube range, identified by letter: Type A, B, E, F, G, I, A/I, N. Examples: Type G is used in the UK, UAE, Hong Kong, Singapore; Type A/I is used in e.g. China; Type N is used in Brazil. Check which letter corresponds to your country/region before ordering.

How many PowerCubes can be combined?

In theory the PowerCube can be extended infinitely as long as connected devices don't exceed the rated draw, but Allocacoc recommends no more than two additional PowerCubes mounted onto one.

Is the PowerCube safe with a power-hungry device (e.g. a microwave)?

Yes — it's as safe as any standard power outlet, fully grounded, and all sockets are child-proof.

What differentiates the PowerCube from other power strips?

How long does it take to charge a device via the USB output?
