Full product manual for the ABB-Welcome IP IPTouch 7 Basic indoor station (H82364-., H82364-.-02), a LAN+WiFi touchscreen video intercom indoor station for the ABB-Welcome IP door entry system.

Safety

• Electric voltage warning: dangerous currents flow through the body on contact with live components — risk of electric shock, burns, or death. Disconnect mains power before installation or disassembly. Work on the 100-240V supply system may only be performed by specialist/qualified electricians.
• Install only in dry indoor rooms.

Intended Use

The H82364-. is a central control panel of the ABB-Welcome IP system and operates exclusively with components from this system.

• WiFi installation: ensure good WiFi signal reception before installation — router distance and wall construction materials affect signal quality. If the WiFi signal isn't strong enough, install a WiFi repeater between the router and the device.
• Master/subsidiary mode: only one indoor station per apartment can be set to master mode; additional stations in the same apartment must be subsidiary.

Default Passwords

Passwords cannot use continuously increasing/decreasing sequences (e.g. 123456) or three consecutive identical digits (e.g. 123444). If the wrong password is entered 10 times within 5 minutes, the keypad locks out for 5 minutes. Contact ABB technical support if the engineering password is forgotten.

SD Card / IP-Cam / Ringtone Support

• Micro SD card: Micro SDHC, 4–32 GB, Class 10, FAT32. Use SanDisk, Kingston, or Transcend cards (fully tested/verified). Do not remove the SD card or reboot while recording/copying — this can damage the card. Do not remove or reboot while recording or copying images.
• IP-Cam: supports ONVIF protocol (Profile S).
• Ringtone: custom ringtones support .mp3 and .wav, up to 32MB, max 3 custom ringtones from SD card.

Electrician Requirements

Install only with the necessary electrical engineering knowledge and experience. Apply the "five safety rules" (DIN VDE 0105, EN 50110): disconnect, secure against reconnection, ensure no voltage, connect to earth and short-circuit, cover/barricade adjacent live parts. Use suitable personal protective clothing and only suitable tools/measuring devices. Check the type of supply network (TN/IT/TT system) to confirm grounding and protection requirements.

Installation Methods

• Surface-mounted installation — suitable for H82361-., H32364-., and H82366-. only (not H82365-.). Uses a surface-mounted box; dimension templates vary by region (Global, VDE&BS&CN, NEMA, NEMA&Italy, Swiss).
• Flush-mounted installation — uses a pre-installation box, mounted per the numbered steps in the PDF diagrams.
• Cavity wall installation — for installation inside a cavity wall.
• Desktop installation — suitable for H82361-., H32364-., and H82366-. only (not H82365-.).
• Installation height: recommended 1.50 m (4.9 ft) from the floor.
• Dismantling: use the dismantling switch to remove the unit from its mounting plate.

Commissioning

Initial Setup

The indoor station enters initial setup automatically on first power-on, or after "Clear all data" is run from Engineering settings. Steps: 1) select system language, 2) accept licensing terms, 3) select country, 4) set date and time, 5) set WiFi (H82364-. only).

System Settings

Access from the extra screen by tapping "System."

• Sound: touch tone, ringtone selection (4 built-in ringtones for outdoor station, indoor stations, guard unit, doorbell), up to 3 custom ringtones from SD card, volume, and repeated-tone toggle (repeat within 30s vs. ring once).
• Language: select system display language.
• Network settings (WiFi, H82364-. only): ensure SSID broadcast is enabled on the router. Select the network from the auto-populated SSID list and enter the password to connect. To disconnect: "Ignore" (password required to reconnect) or "Disconnect" (no password needed to reconnect). IP address is DHCP by default; can be set statically by unchecking the DHCP box.
• Automatic snapshot: enable under Door Entry System to automatically capture 3 snapshots during an incoming call.
• Address of default lock: set under Door Entry System → Address of default unlock — select lock type and device (e.g. OS-02). Activates two icons on the Door Entry screen for releasing the default and auxiliary locks.
• Program button setting: default function is "Open auxiliary lock"; can also be set to "Turn on the light" (select IP actuator type and device number) or disabled ("Invalid").
• Card management: requires user password (default 123456). Card register: select device, tap "Card register" — the outdoor station pushbutton module flashes orange, prompting a card swipe; exits automatically after 15s (card registered) or 300s (no card). Card delete: similar flow to remove a registered card. ABB recommends creating/maintaining IC cards only via local outdoor stations or management software.
• Display, Date/Time, Monitor settings, App settings, Contacts, Reset user settings, Version info, Device address, Firmware update: additional system configuration screens (see PDF for detailed sub-menus).

Engineering Settings

Accessed with the engineering password (default 345678, must be changed on first use). Covers device settings, outdoor station settings, and IP actuator settings — advanced configuration intended for installers.

Operation

• DES (Door Entry System) page: the home screen for managing incoming calls and door entry functions.
• Incoming calls: handled from outdoor/gate stations, guard unit/other indoor stations, or the doorbell.
• Intercom: initiate intercom calls to other apartments; add unwanted callers to a blacklist and restore them later if needed.
• Surveillance: view live video from an outdoor station or a connected IP camera.
• Call guard unit: place a call to the property's guard/concierge unit.
• History: review call and event history.
• Voice message / Absence message: record and manage voicemail-style messages, and set an away/absence greeting.
• Automatic unlock / Standby unlock: configure the door to unlock automatically for incoming calls, or set standby unlock behavior.
• Mute: mute manually via the status bar, or schedule automatic mute windows (days of week + start/end time, up to 10 scheduled entries) — a mute icon appears on the status bar when active.
• Text message: send/receive short text messages to and from the management software. Inbox shows read/unread status and supports reply; outbox shows delivered/undelivered status and supports resend.
• Call the lift: if enabled (Engineering settings → Local settings → Lift = on), tap the lift icon on the Door Entry screen to call the elevator to the current floor.
• Clean screen mode: temporarily disables touch input (1–30 second countdown) for wiping the screen; exits automatically if an incoming call is received.

FCC Compliance

FCC ID: 2AEBL-H82364. Complies with FCC Part 15 rules. Human proximity to the antenna should be no less than 20 cm (8 inches) during normal operation to stay within RF exposure limits. This Class B digital device is designed to limit residential interference, though interference isn't guaranteed to be absent in every installation — try relocating the receiving antenna, increasing separation between equipment, using a different circuit, or consulting a technician if interference occurs.

Cyber Security

The H8236 series connects to and communicates over a network interface. It is the customer's responsibility to maintain a secure network connection (firewalls, authentication, encryption, antivirus, etc.). ABB is not liable for damages from security breaches, unauthorized access, or data theft related to network security. ABB recommends independent testing of any product/firmware updates before deployment, following ABB's deployment guidelines for upgrading and backup/restore, and adhering to password rules described above to reduce risk.
