Full-line product brochure for the ABB Welcome™ video/audio door entry and intercom system.

    Full text manual (for reference)

Product brochure for the ABB Welcome™ Door Entry System — a full-line video/audio intercom and access control system for single-family homes through large residential complexes.

    Overview

ABB Welcome™ is built around four core themes: Ease, Simplicity, Security, and Flexibility. It uses two-wire bus technology throughout, supporting everything from a single outdoor/indoor station pair up to large multi-building installations.

    Ease

    • Indoor stations feature a large 7-inch color touchscreen with call transfer between apartments and security stations, plus the ability to leave and receive video messages.
    • Outdoor stations (stainless steel) auto-switch from day to night mode, illuminate facial features for visibility, and use a scratch- and fire-resistant camera module finish. An infrared LED activates automatically when the bell is pressed for clear night visibility.
    • Audio indoor stations are available as handset (3-button or 6-button), handset with induction loop (for hearing impaired), or hands-free, with large customizable function buttons for intercom, call guard unit, or additional door unlock.
    • Telephone gateway turns any standard phone into a Welcome indoor station for remote door control and communication, over mobile or landline, with simple configuration.
    • IP gateway plus the ABB Welcome app and ABB portal give remote video access, door/lighting control from a smartphone, and "call during absence" push messaging — no special router configuration required.

    Simplicity

    • Outdoor stations available in stainless steel (keypad, three round buttons) or aluminum (mini, one button) configurations, with call-by-scrolling-through-names or letter input, public/private passwords, and a built-in RFID proximity reader.
    • Indoor station controls use intuitive, easily-recognized symbols: Communication (receive/end calls), Door opener, Mute (silences the indoor mic during a call and can disable the bell — auto re-enables after 10 hours), Programmable button (customizable for intercom/second lock/relay control), Snapshot (photo of visitors), and Settings.
    • Screwless, snap-on installation design applies to both outdoor and indoor stations, for quick surface or flush mounting.

    Security

The system integrates additional analog cameras to extend monitoring range, letting residents switch between cameras from the indoor station and archive video/photo messages from visitors. Calls, intercom use, and emergency messages to a security station are simple to trigger, and the security station can optionally screen visitor calls for all residents or just selected individuals.

    Flexibility & Modularity

Twelve functional outdoor-station modules let installers build the exact door communication solution needed, for both new construction and renovation, while reducing distributor stock and simplifying replacements:

    • Camera module
    • Display module with card reader
    • Nameplate module
    • Audio module, no pushbuttons
    • Audio module, 1/2-row pushbuttons
    • Audio module, 2/4-row pushbuttons
    • Pushbutton module, 3/6 buttons
    • Pushbutton module, 4/8 buttons
    • Keypad module
    • Pushbutton module, 1 round pushbutton
    • Pushbutton module, 2 round pushbuttons
    • Pushbutton module, 3 round pushbuttons

The 4.3-inch video indoor station is available with five different front cover colors and supports up to 60 saved images plus room-to-room calling.

    System Capacity

    • Two-wire technology throughout
    • Up to 9 guard units
    • Up to 60 buildings
    • Up to 250 indoor stations per building
    • Up to 2,000 feet from gate station to the farthest indoor station
    • Up to 9 outdoor stations per apartment (gate stations + outdoor stations + confirmed outdoor stations combined)
    • Two locks possible for one outdoor station

The system scales from a one-family house, through multi-family and apartment buildings, to high-rise buildings and full residential complexes.
