Installation guide for the Arlington TVL2508K Low Profile TV Bridge™ Kit — an all-in-one recessed box kit for flush-mounting a flat-screen TV to walls 3/4" deep and larger.

Overview

The TVL2508K lets you run low-voltage cables (and power) behind a flat-screen TV without cutting into framing or running new power from a panel. It uses two roomy 5" x 8" low-profile recessed boxes — an upper box for the TV connection point and a lower box for the power source — connected with 7 ft. of non-metallic cable, plus a flexible cord device and an outlet device.

Ideal Applications

• New construction or retrofit installs on 1/2" or 5/8" drywall with wall cavities 3/4" and larger
• Furring strips on concrete block walls
• 2x2, 2x3, 2x4 or larger stud walls
• Walls where plumbing or other obstructions run behind the drywall

Kit Features

Installation Steps

1. Cut the openings. Cut the top hole in the wall for the TV box, and the lower hole directly below it, close to an existing power outlet.
2. Wire and install the upper box. Wire the receptacle and install the cover. Drop the assembly and cable through the top hole, feeding cable toward the bottom hole, then insert the box into the top hole, pulling the TV cables through the opening in the box.
3. Secure the upper box. Tighten the mounting wing screws to secure the box to the wall. On concrete block walls, attach the box to the block for added stability if needed.
4. Wire and install the lower box. Attach power to the lower device and install the device cover. Insert the second box into the bottom hole, feeding cables through the opening in the top of the box.
5. Secure the lower box. Tighten the mounting wing screws to secure the box to the wall (same method as the upper box).

No power run from a panel or framing cuts are required — the kit hides low-voltage wires behind the wall while keeping the finished installation flush and clean.
