Quick start guide for the A&D Medical Deluxe Connected Blood Pressure Monitor UA-651BLE — covering initial setup, Bluetooth pairing with the "A&D Connect" app, and how to take a reading.

Initial Setup

1. Install the included batteries into your blood pressure monitor (BPM).
2. Insert the air connector plug into the air socket.
3. Download the free "A&D Connect" app from the App Store or Google Play.
4. Turn on Bluetooth® settings on your mobile device (smartphone or tablet).
5. Install and launch the "A&D Connect" app — it will guide you through account setup and the connection process.

Pairing the BPM to Your Mobile Device

1. Press and hold the START button until a pairing icon is displayed, then release the button.
2. While the icon is shown, the BPM is discoverable.
3. While "SE" is shown, the BPM is pairing with your mobile device.
4. The BPM displays a confirmation icon to indicate the pairing process is complete.
5. The blood pressure monitor is now ready to be used.

Taking a Reading

1. Lay your left arm flat on the table with palm up. Place the cuff on your upper arm.
2. Fasten the cuff tight enough that you can slide two fingers underneath it.
3. Sit comfortably with your arm resting on a flat surface, elevated to heart level, palm up.
4. Press the START button.
5. Sit quietly as the cuff inflates and deflates.
6. Wait for the measurement to complete.
7. When complete, the cuff deflates automatically.
8. Your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate appear on the screen. Measurements are sent to your mobile device when the "A&D Connect" app is open and running — results are stored on the BPM when your mobile device is not available.

Blood Pressure Taking Tips

• Compare blood pressure taken at the same time each day.
• Sit in the same chair/position.
• Do not cross legs and keep your feet flat on the floor.
• Relax for several minutes before measurement.
• Use the correct cuff size to get an accurate reading.
• Sit still during measurement — no talking, eating, or sudden movements.
