Taking a Reading

1. Lay your left arm on a table, palm up. Place the cuff on your upper arm.
2. Fasten the cuff tight enough that you can slide two fingers underneath it.
3. Sit comfortably with your arm resting on a flat surface, elevated to heart level, palm up.
4. Press the START button (AC adapter or battery installation required).
5. Sit quietly as the cuff inflates.
6. Wait for the measurement to complete.
7. When the measurement is complete, the cuff deflates automatically.
8. The systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate appear on the digital display.

Tips for Accurate Readings

• Measure at the same time every day.
• Sit in the same chair/position.
• Do not cross legs and keep your feet flat on the floor.
• Relax for several moments before measurement.
• Use the correct cuff size to get an accurate reading.
• Sit still during measurement — no talking, eating, or sudden movements.
• Record your measurement in a logbook.
