    Product specifications for the 2GIG Hardwire Conversion Kit (Model 2GIG-TAKE-KIT1) — a wireless takeover solution for upgrading existing wired security systems using 2GIG's patented Wireless Takeover technology.

    Overview

    Are you looking to upgrade an existing wired security system to a wireless one? Whether replacing an older wired security system or retrofitting the pre-wired sensors common to new construction, the 2GIG Hardwire Conversion Kit is designed to be an easy-to-install solution.

    Leveraging 2GIG's patented wireless takeover technology (US Patent No. 8,638,218), each kit includes one Super Switch Takeover Module, which converts up to eight (8) wired sensors to 2GIG wireless zones. The kit also includes a power supply board with a backup battery charging circuit, a grounded plug-in transformer, and an ABS plastic enclosure with a dedicated space for a backup battery (battery not included). The enclosure can also accommodate up to two additional Super Switch Takeover Modules, increasing capacity to convert up to 24 wired sensors to wireless zones.

    Add-On Components and Options

    • Linear H208 Lock Kit (optional) — recommended for locking the plastic wall-mount enclosure with a key for additional security.
