2GIG Panic Button Remote (PANIC1-345) — Install Instructions

Install instructions and specifications for the 2GIG Panic Button Remote (PAN1345) — a wearable/mountable emergency transmitter that sends a panic signal to the alarm panel whether armed or disarmed.

Overview

The Panic Button Remote transmits an emergency signal from anywhere within the alarm system's RF range, regardless of arm state. It's small and light enough for a shirt pocket or purse, and includes a wristband, lanyard, car-visor clip, and belt clip — or it can be permanently wall-mounted. Press and hold the button for about 2 seconds to activate; the top LED lights for about 1 second to confirm the signal was sent.

Programming (General Guidelines)

1. Select an RF sensor number (01–48) to assign the remote to a new zone.
2. Select RF sensor type: (07) 24-hour audible alarm.
3. Select RF sensor type: (01) contact.
4. Enter the 4-digit equipment code for the Panic Button Remote.
5. Enter the RF sensor serial number (7 digits) — either manually (last 7 digits of the TX ID on the unit) or via auto-entry (put the panel in Learn-in mode, press the panic button, and accept the detected TX ID).
6. Select RF sensor equipment age: (0) new or (1) existing.
7. Select RF sensor loop number (1–3).
8. Select RF sensor dialer delay: (0) disabled.
9. Construct a voice descriptor — press Insert then a code (002–255) per word (e.g., 166 = "PANIC", 183 = "REMOTE") to build "panic remote."
10. Select RF sensor reports: (0) disabled or (1) enabled.
11. Select RF sensor supervised: (1) enabled — reports loss of supervision or low battery.
12. Select RF sensor chime: (0) disabled or (1–13) enabled.
13. Click Next to program another sensor, Skip to exit programming, or End/Exit to finish (panel reboots briefly).

Testing

1. Before mounting, from the Installer Toolbox select Walk Test.
2. Press and hold the panic button for ~2 seconds; the LED lights for ~1 second to confirm signal.
3. Listen for the panel's voice descriptor to announce "panic remote."
4. Press OK from the Installer Toolbox to exit sensor test mode.

Battery Replacement

The battery lasts up to 2 years under normal use; the panel shows a low-battery trouble notification when it's time to replace. Perform a system test at least once a year.

1. Remove the top cover with a small flathead screwdriver in the slot at the bottom-right corner, then twist.
2. Insert a small flathead screwdriver between the metal clip and battery; twist slightly while holding back the plastic edge holding the battery.
3. Insert the replacement battery with the + sign facing out.
4. If the circuit board was removed, ensure the LED is aligned with its hole.
5. Verify programming and RF communication with the panel (see Testing above).
6. Replace the sensor cover.

Warning: Observe battery polarity as marked. Improper handling of lithium batteries may cause heat, explosion, or fire, resulting in injury. Replace only with the same or equivalent battery type. Do not recharge, disassemble, or dispose of batteries in fire — follow local waste recovery/recycling regulations. Keep away from small children; seek medical attention immediately if swallowed.
