    Operating instructions for the 2GIG-PAD1-345 Wireless Keypad — a wall-mounted keypad with stay/away arming and fire/panic emergency functions for 2GIG wireless alarm control panels.

    Overview

    The 2GIG-PAD1-345 is a wireless keypad with stay and away arming options as well as fire and panic emergency functions.

    Installation & Mounting

    1. Simultaneously press both tabs on top of the keypad to separate the mounting plate from the main keypad.
    2. Place the mounting plate in the desired location and ensure it's level.
    3. Secure the mounting plate with 4 screws in the provided holes.
    4. Remove the two battery pull tabs located near the metal clips to connect the batteries.
    5. To reattach the keypad, insert the bottom portion onto the mounting plate first, then tilt upward and snap the keypad into place.

    Testing

    Before mounting, verify the location provides good RF communication to the panel:

    1. Put the control panel into sensor test mode.
    2. Press and hold any numeric key for at least 2 seconds.
    3. Listen for siren or keypad beeps to confirm the response (refer to your control panel's installation instructions).
    4. Exit sensor test mode.

    Note: a full system test is recommended at least once a year, per the Operation & User's Guide.

    Programming

    For programming details, refer to your 2GIG Installation & Programming Instructions.

    Battery Installation & Replacement

    Use only the recommended replacement batteries (see Specifications below).

    1. Remove the keypad from the mounting plate.
    2. Place a small flathead screwdriver in the slot between the metal clip and the battery, and twist slightly while holding back one of the black plastic edges holding the battery.
    3. Insert the replacement battery with the + sign facing out.
    4. Verify programming and RF communication with the panel.

    Warning: battery polarity must be observed as shown in the manual's Figure 2. Improper handling of lithium batteries may result in heat generation, explosion, or fire, potentially causing personal injury. Replace only with the same or equivalent battery type. Batteries must not be recharged, disassembled, or disposed of in fire — dispose per your area's waste recovery and recycling regulations. Keep away from small children; if swallowed, see a doctor promptly.
