    Overview

    The 2GIG-FT1-345 Wireless Combination Flood/Temperature Sensor is a fully supervised, tamper-protected 345 MHz sensor that monitors ambient temperature for high or low thresholds and detects the presence of standing water at its mounted location. It requires a 2GIG security panel running software revision v1.14 or higher.

    How It Works

    Flood Detection

    Mount the sensor near a home's water heater or other contained water source, with the sensor probe positioned slightly above the floor. If a substantial leak occurs, water completes the circuit between the two probes on the sensor, sending a flood trouble or alarm to the panel. The sensor also sends a restore report once water is no longer detected. It can detect clean or dirty water, salt water, or tap water.

    Temperature Monitoring

    The sensor monitors ambient temperature approximately once per minute. If the temperature exceeds 95°F or drops below 42°F, it sends a temperature trouble report to the 2GIG panel.
