    Introduction

    The Go!Control Security System is a fully supervised wireless security system with a color touch screen Control Panel that can be expanded and customized. It's designed to meet or exceed ETL Listed residential security requirements and conforms to the Security Industry Association's Control Panel Standard ANSI/SIA CP-01-2007.

    Note: Failure to install per ETL requirements voids the ETL listing. For an ETL smoke alarm system, at least one approved smoke detector must be programmed into the Control Panel to meet NFPA Rule 72-Chapter 2 and UL 217 requirements — many insurers require this for a discount. Some municipalities require an alarm system permit — check local authorities before installing.

    System Overview

    The Control Panel's color touch screen controls all system functions and programming, with scrolling text and voice prompts. The system supports 48 wireless sensors of various types, two hardwire loops, 15 sensor response types, a supervised bell output, and a programmable solid-state control output. An on-board digital communicator reports alarms/trouble to a central monitoring station via standard telephone line.

    An internal 345 MHz narrow-band radio receiver detects wireless sensor signals. The optional Model 2GIG-XCVR2 900 MHz transceiver enables communication with accessory wireless touch screen keypads. The optional Model 2GIG-GSMx GSM radio modem adds wireless Central Station reporting and 2-way voice communication "over-the-air," plus 2-way communication with the Alarm.com server (subscribers can query/control the system from a browser anywhere; the server can send messages, time corrections, and software updates). A built-in Z-Wave radio module allows controlling/monitoring home automation devices (lighting, locks, heating, A/C).

    Eight user codes (including a duress code) are supported; User 1 is the master code that can add/delete the other seven. The Installer Code has access to system programming. Front panel buttons double as emergency indicators for Panic, Fire, and Emergency alarm activation (each individually enable/disable-able and programmable).

    System Accessories

    • 2GIG-GSMx GSM Module — cellular telephone module, plugs into Control Panel, 2-way GSM radio, enrolls with a cellular service provider.
    • 2GIG-ANT1 Internal GSM Antenna — installs inside the Control Panel, plugs into GSM module, locking connector.
    • 2GIG-ANT1X External In-wall GSM Antenna — installs in the wall behind the panel, 2-foot cable, locking connector.

    • 2GIG-AC1 Replacement Power Supply — high-efficiency switching supply, 120VAC@60Hz input, 14VDC@1700mA output, screw terminals, includes retaining bracket for standard and Decora outlets.

    Installation

    Control Panel Mounting

    1. Remove the locking screw from the top of the Control Panel case and remove the mounting plate.
    2. Use the mounting plate as a template to mark the wall for the wiring cutout slot; cut with a drywall saw. If using the optional GSM module with an external antenna (ANT1X/ANT2X), remove the plastic "EXTERNAL ANTENNA" knockout and cut a slot for the antenna cable.
    3. Attach the mounting plate to the wall using three screws.

    Wireless Sensors

    Install each wireless sensor at its desired location per the instructions included with the sensor, and document each sensor's ID number and location in the Installation Log.

    Hardwired Loops

    Hardwired loops can be programmed normally open (N/O) or normally closed (N/C), with optional 2.2K ohm end-of-line resistors (EOLR, not supplied) for supervision. Only contacts should be used — the Control Panel does not power external devices like PIRs. Hardwired loops cannot be used for a CO or fire sensor loop.

    Remote Alarm Sounder

    Two terminals support an optional remote electronic (solid-state) sounder — do not connect an electromechanical bell. The bell output can be supervised for wire-cut detection (bell trouble reporting).

    Solid State Output

    One programmable solid-state output switches up to 250 mA @ 16 VDC to ground, active during various programmable conditions. It only functions while the Control Panel has wall power. Warning: do not connect an electromechanical bell to this output — it will damage the output. For ETL Listing, an external DC backup power supply is required for a load connected to terminal 4.

    Communicator Telephone Line

    Both incoming and outgoing telephone lines connect to the Control Panel via an RJ31X jack. When the communicator activates, local telephones are disconnected to prevent an off-hook phone from blocking the call. Run a 4-conductor cable from the demarcation box, disconnect house telephones from the box output (without disturbing the Telco input "drop" side or earth grounds), wire RED/GREEN to the box RING/TIP, and BLACK/YELLOW to the house telephone RING/TIP wires. At the panel, connect RED→RING IN, GREEN→TIP IN, BLACK→RING OUT, YELLOW→TIP OUT on the RJ31X jack.

    All output voltages are Class 2. Hardwire loops can use normally open or normally closed contacts, with optional 2.2K EOLR for N.C., N.O., or mixed EOL loop supervision configurations.

    Installer Programming

    The Installer Toolbox (default Installer Code = 1561) provides access to RF Sensor Programming, Wired Sensor Programming, RF Key Fob Programming, RF Keypad Programming, and the full set of Control Panel Programming Questions (Q-1 through Q-86+), covering exit/entry delays, dialer/Central Station settings, 2-way voice, emergency key types, quick arming, swinger shutdown, siren supervision, daylight saving settings, Z-Wave feature enable/disable (switches, thermostats, door locks), temperature display units, and more.

    System Sensor Types (Zones)

    Type Behavior
    (00) Unused No system action from this sensor number.
    (01) Exit/Entry 1 For exit/entry doors; starts Exit Delay when arming (Away or Stay), starts Entry Delay #1 when triggered while armed.
    (02) Exit/Entry 2 Same as Exit/Entry 1 but starts the (typically longer) Entry Delay #2 timer — e.g. for a garage door.
    (03) Perimeter Instant alarm when triggered while armed (Stay or Away) — not used for entry/exit.
    (04) Interior Follower Instant alarm in Away Mode once armed (after Exit Delay); always bypassed in Stay Mode.
    (05) Day Zone Same as Perimeter, but shows a trouble alert (not an alarm) when violated while disarmed.
    (06) 24-hour Silent Alarm Always active; sends silent panic code to Central Station with no local indication.
    (07) 24-hour Audible Alarm Always active; triggers local alarm and bell output regardless of arming mode.
    (08) 24-hour Auxiliary Alarm Always active; triggers alarm (no bell) — local sounder continues until acknowledged. For flood/temperature monitoring.
    (09) 24-hour Fire † Always active, cannot be bypassed; triggers fire sounder and bell. For wireless smoke detectors.
    (10) Interior with Delay Delayed (Entry Delay #1) in Away Mode; instant if armed-instant; bypassed in Stay Mode.

    Installer Testing

    Sounder Disable/Enable

    From the Installer Toolbox, press DISABLE SOUNDER to lower the internal sounder and disable the external siren for 30 minutes during testing (auto re-enables after timeout, or manually via ENABLE SOUNDER).

    Zone Reporting Test

    Inform the Central Station that test signals will be sent, then trigger each alarm type in sequence (24-hour fire/FIRE button, 24-hour panic/PANIC button, 24-hour emergency/EMERGENCY button, and an armed burglary sensor), waiting ~45 seconds between each for the report, then disarming. Confirm with the Central Station that each zone type was received.

    Walk Test Mode

    Tests all sensors, indicators, and the sounder; auto-ends after 25 minutes. Enter via the Installer Toolbox > WALK TEST. Activating each sensor sounds three beeps and lights a green bar (1-5 bars = signal strength) next to the sensor's name on the display; a check mark confirms sufficient signal. Weak-signal sensors may need relocating. Entering/exiting Walk Test sends "start test"/"stop test" reports to the Central Station.

    Radio Status Mode & GSM/Telephone Tests

    If a GSM module is installed, the Radio Status screen shows signal strength, serial number, and registration status (color-coded: red = weak/unregistered, orange = idle/registered, green = good signal/registered). RUN RADIO TEST checks the cell connection to the Central Station. A separate Telephone Test (User Toolbox #3, requires Master User Code) checks the landline connection via the built-in digital communicator.

    Restoring Programming Defaults

    A soft reset via the Installer Toolbox's Restore Defaults screen lets you selectively reset ZONES (erases all 48 sensors' data) and/or other settings via checkboxes. A "hard" reset to out-of-box factory defaults is also available by pressing and holding the Emergency and Home buttons while applying power (unless disabled via programming questions Q-44/Q-45).

    Regulatory & Warranty

    Complies with FCC Part 15 rules and FCC telephone rules/regulations (limits on auto-dial retries, ringer equivalence). This security system complies with NFPA requirements for temporal pulse sounding of fire notification appliances.
