    Full text manual (for reference)

Instruction manual for the A&D UC-352BLE Deluxe Connected Weight Scale — a Bluetooth®-enabled body weight scale that transmits measurements automatically to a paired mobile device.

    Overview

The UC-352BLE uses Bluetooth® 4.0 LE wireless connectivity to send weight measurement data to a paired receiver (typically a smartphone running the A&D Connect app) at the end of each measurement. If no receiver is available at the time of a reading, the scale stores up to 90 measurements internally and transmits them automatically once a connection is available.

    Safety Precautions

    • Do not rely on self-diagnosis for weight loss or therapeutic exercise — follow a physician's instructions.
    • Do not step on the edges of the scale or jump on it — risk of injury and scale damage.
    • Do not use on an uneven, slippery, or soft/carpeted surface — the scale won't measure accurately and may be damaged.
    • Do not step on the scale with wet feet.
    • Do not place the scale where it is exposed to excess water, humidity, direct sunlight, an A/C air outlet, or near fire.
    • This scale is for personal body-weight use only — do not disassemble, repair, or modify it.
    • Persons with disabilities should be assisted by a caregiver when using the scale.
    • Install batteries with correct polarity to avoid overheating, leakage, or rupture.
    • Store the scale flat, out of reach of small children; do not place items on it during storage.
    • If shared with someone with an infectious foot condition, clean the scale before use.

    Installing / Replacing Batteries

    1. Open the battery compartment cover on the underside of the scale.
    2. Install four new AAA alkaline batteries, matching the + / - terminals to the markings in the compartment.
    3. Close the battery compartment cover.

Use only AAA alkaline batteries — never rechargeable batteries. Do not mix new and used batteries. Remove batteries if the scale won't be used for a long period, to prevent leakage damage. When the low-battery symbol appears, replace all four batteries.

The scale has an automatic power-off function — it turns off 60 seconds after displaying a measurement result.

    Pairing with a Mobile Device

    1. Install four AAA batteries into the scale.
    2. With the scale off, press and hold the Set switch until "Pr" is displayed, then release.
    3. The Bluetooth symbol flashes — the scale is now discoverable.
    4. Start pairing on the receiver (phone) — follow its pairing instructions to search for and select the scale.
    5. Confirm "End" is displayed on the scale, with two beeps confirming successful pairing.

Once paired, changing batteries does not require re-pairing. Turn off other Bluetooth® devices nearby when pairing to avoid interference. To connect, download the free A&D Connect app and follow its in-app instructions.

    Setting the Units

    1. With the scale off, press the Set switch.
    2. Press the Set switch repeatedly to cycle between lb and kg.
    3. Wait 3 seconds — the scale beeps twice, displays "End", and saves the setting automatically.

Note: Changing the unit format deletes any readings stored in the scale's memory.

    Measuring Your Weight

    1. With the scale off, step onto it gently — measurement begins automatically (one beep).
    2. A progress bar displays during measurement; stand still.
    3. When "StEP" and "oFF" alternate on the display with three beeps, step off the scale.
    4. The result displays and is transmitted automatically if a receiver is connected; otherwise it is stored internally.
    5. The scale turns off automatically 60 seconds after showing the result — you can also power it off manually via the Set switch.

Do not touch the scale while all display segments are illuminated after stepping off — this may cause a misreading. If you don't step off in time, the scale beeps every 2 seconds and shuts off automatically after 2 minutes.

    Data Storage & Transmission

If the scale can't reach a receiver at measurement time, it stores up to 90 measurements internally. Once connected, all stored data transmits automatically. If storage exceeds 90 readings, the oldest data is overwritten. Stored data cannot be viewed on the scale itself — only via the A&D Connect app once transmitted.

The scale has a built-in clock that syncs automatically with the connected mobile device — no manual clock setting is required.

    Bluetooth Connectivity Notes

    • Compatible with iPhone 4S or later, and any device/app supporting Bluetooth 4.0
    • Keep the space between scale and receiver unobstructed — reinforced concrete walls can block the signal
    • Avoid using near microwave ovens, wireless LAN routers, or other 2.4GHz devices, which can slow or interrupt the connection

    Troubleshooting

    Display / Symptom Corrective Action
    "E", "E-0", or "Err" Exceeds maximum capacity (450 lb / 200 kg)
"E-10" or "E-11" Communication error — remove and reinstall the batteries
Low battery symbol / nothing displayed Reinstall batteries, or replace all four with new AAA alkaline
Results seem inaccurate Place scale on a solid, level surface; remove any objects touching the underside

    Maintaining the Scale

Clean with a cloth dampened in water or mild detergent, then dry with a soft cloth. Never use alcohol, benzene, thinner, or other harsh chemicals. Remove batteries if storing for an extended period.
