Unlike conventional motion sensors, this device is designed to recognize subtle movements and breathing, reducing the likelihood of a room being incorrectly marked as unoccupied. Its detection performance is not affected by temperature, humidity, noise, airflow, dust, or light, making it suitable for a variety of indoor automation applications.

The sensor includes a built-in 5 A dry-contact relay with COM, NO, and NC terminals for direct control of a connected load. It communicates occupied and unoccupied states to a Z-Wave controller using Notification and Home Security reporting. Adjustable detection ranges, delay timers, and detection modes allow users to customize its operation to suit their environment.

Powered by a mains electrical connection, the sensor eliminates the need for battery replacements. Its Z-Wave 800 Series radio and S2 security provide secure wireless communication with compatible Z-Wave smart home systems.
