This control board is the brains and heart of the ELK 27 security and automation control system, providing the foundation for a hybrid hardwired and wireless network of sensors and devices to monitor, protect, and automate your home or business. The E27 supports up to 128 hardwired, wireless, or hybrid zones, all of which can be partitioned into 8 security areas. The E27 features 16 on-board wired zones and if connected to additional E27 Alarm Engines, the number of wired zones can be expanded up to 128. Onboard alarm inputs include one form C relay and one 10V (12VDC, 50mA). The system's open connectivity platform allows integration with Elk's 50+ partners, offering a seamlessly interconnected system with control over Security, Energy Management, Lighting, and more into a single, robust system.

The ELK27 Alarm Engine is a scalable home security and automation solution for any sized installation. Out of the box, the ELK27 Alarm Engine Main Board supports 16 on-board wired zones, two 12VDC Power Outputs, 10 programmable outputs, one programmable Form "C" Relay output, two supervised 4 to 8 ohm alarm outputs, one RS485 Data Bus, and two power supply options. To add wireless inputs from 319.5MHz or Z-Wave devices, additional zone inputs, outputs, or relays, their corresponding add-on modules must be purchased separately.

The ELK-AERF3 and the ELK-AERF9 allows the E27 to communicate with ELK 319.5 and two-way wireless sensors respectively, up to 128 sensors and 16 keychain remotes in total. The ELK-AEWF Wi-Fi Adapter increases the operational reach of a single system in installations where Ethernet connections are not possible. The ELK-AEZW Z-Wave module adds up to 80 Z-Wave Plus devices to the Elk network. The Z-Wave Module does not add new zones to the ELK 27 network; any connected Z-Wave Plus device uses an available wireless zone. The ELK-AEXDD Alarm Engine Digital Dialer connects the E27 to a Central Monitoring Station using a standard landline telephone or cellular device.

The ELK 27 Alarm Engine is a user-friendly system that can control virtually any security or automation device in homes or businesses. It sports a powerful new engine with AND, OR & ELSE logic that enables complex security or automation scenes and immediate responses to triggered devices or preprogrammed routines. Configuring automated routines is made easy with easy to understand text based references. The addition of Z-Wave Plus compatibility exponentially increases the amount of automated routines that can be run and the kinds of devices that can be monitored or controlled.

ElkConnect® brings the power of the ELK E27 platform to life. This advanced mobile app and cloud portal streamlines system configuration, management, and control with powerful tools and a consistent user experience. A robust automation environment fuels the Alarm Engine with simplified customization and unrestricted creation of rules.

Both the ElkConnect app and portal provide a credential based experience and offers different levels of functionality for installers and end-users. Installers get configuration and management tools to manage multiple E27 systems from their phone or computer. Users get interactive services and an intuitive interface for full control of the system.

Z-Wave Plus Certification

Z-Wave Plus is an upgraded certification program to help you identify products that take advantage of the "Next Gen" Z-Wave hardware platform, also known as 500 Series or Gen5 Z-Wave. Z-Wave Plus certified solutions feature a selected set of extended features and capabilities that enhance your experience with faster and easier installation and setup.
