Control four X10 receiver modules using the X10 PRO 4-Button Keypad (4 Address). This keypad attaches to the front of an X10 PRO Wall Transmitter Base Module (XPT, sold separately) to create a custom X10 wall switch. Once installed, the keypad sends On/Off commands to four sequential X10 unit codes.
When used with the transmitter base, the X10 PRO 4-Button Keypad (4 Address) controls four X10 receivers by running the Unit Codes in sequential order. In other words, if you have the dials on the transmitter base set to House Code B and Unit Code 4, this keypad will control the X10 receivers set to House Code B and Unit Codes 4, 5, 6, and 7. The top button will turn On/Off Unit Code 4, the next button will control Unit Code 5, and so on.
Attaching the Keypad
Place the keypad onto the XPT transmitter base by inserting the tab on top of the keypad under the notch on the base. Gently, but firmly press the bottom of the keypad into place so that the pins on the back enter into the XPT base socket.
NOTE: The keypad must be attached to the front of an X10 PRO Wall Transmitter Base Module (XPT, sold separately). Wallplate not included.

A basic X10 system includes a Transmitter and a Receiver – both sold separately. Transmitters are control devices that send X10 signals through your home's electrical wiring to X10 Receivers. When a Receiver receives a command, it responds by turning a light, appliance or other electrical device On or Off, and sometimes Dim or Bright.
X10 began manufacturing home automation and security products in the late 70s, establishing X10 as a smart home standard. X10 utilizes powerline technology to transmit control signals anywhere in your house over your existing electrical lines, so you can control lights and appliances throughout your home without running new wires! Have complete, automated control over lights and appliances from anywhere in your home with X10.
