Replace your traditional dimmer switch with the X10 Dimmer Switch (500W) to enable remote control for your dimmable wired lighting fixture. The switch controls dimmable incandescent lights up to 500 Watts. It responds to ON/OFF, BRIGHTEN/DIM, and ALL LIGHTS ON remote X10 commands, as well as local ON/OFF and BRIGHTEN/DIM control.

You can use the X10 Dimmer Switch to control the connected light locally the same way you would use a traditional dimmer switch. Pressing and holding the bottom rocker (only) would toggle between brightening or dimming the light.
