Add Z-Wave functionality to devices controlled by a switch or outlet with the Shelly Wave Pro 2PM US Z-Wave 800 & Z-Wave LR Relay Module with Power Monitoring! This dry contact relay module mounts inside your breaker box to add Z-Wave and Z-Wave LR automated functionality, remote On/Off control, and power monitoring, to up to two electrical loads in your home or business. The Wave Pro 2PM supports up to 25A for a single load or 12.5A to two loads simultaneously to add Z-Wave automated control over appliances, computers, or overhead lighting from a switch or outlet. Once installed, the Wave Pro 2PM will automatically connect to your existing Z-Wave network and enable your connected devices to respond to remote commands and automated scenes, as well as monitor energy consumption of devices connected to your selected switches or outlets. The Wave Pro 2PM utilizes Z-Wave 800 and Z-Wave LR wireless technology to provide reliable and long range connectivity, increased encryption protection, and easier setup into Z-Wave networks.

Installation Details

The Shelly Wave Pro 2PM US fits on a DIN rail inside a breaker box, and professional installation is required. A neutral wire is required for installation. The Wave Pro 2PM will automatically attempt to locate and request inclusion into your local Z-Wave network after it is installed. In order to utilize Z-Wave LR communications, a Z-Wave LR compatible gateway or hub is required. Unlike standard Z-Wave mesh protocols, Z-Wave LR works as a star network, connecting a Z-Wave gateway directly to a Z-Wave LR device up to 1 mile (1.6km) away without using any other Z-Wave devices as a signal relay or node.

Z-Wave Plus v3 Certification

Z-Wave Plus v3 is an upgraded Z-Wave certification program to help you identify products that take advantage of the latest Z-Wave hardware platform, also known as 800 Series or Gen8 Z-Wave. Z-Wave Plus v3 compatible devices include extended wireless relay range up to 130 feet (40m) to the nearest Z-Wave device, three layers of encryption, faster operation, and longer battery life.

Z-Wave LR Certification

Z-Wave LR extends Z-Wave connectivity beyond the boundaries of a single building with increased range and coverage and optimized battery life. Z-Wave LR devices operate on a star network topology which features a Z-Wave LR compatible gateway/hub at a central point and then establishes a direct connection to devices. ZWLR compatible devices offer up to 262 ft (80 m) indoor range line of sight and 1 mile (1.6km) outdoor without using any other Z-Wave devices as a signal relay or node. Z-Wave networks can support both Z-Wave LR and traditional Z-Wave nodes can co-exist within the same network, enabling a wide variety and combination of Z-Wave devices and Z-Wave LR devices.
