This compact smart switch is designed to be installed behind an existing wall switch or outlet to add multiprotocol support to lights and connected devices; plus, it's equipped with a power meter so you can get real-time energy monitoring of connected devices. It features 1 switch/button input and 5 power supply inputs with 1 relay output with power measurement. It's compatible with various load types, such as resistive loads (incandescent bulbs and heating devices), capacitive loads (capacitor banks, electronic equipment, and motor start capacitors), and inductive with RC Snubber (LED light drivers, transformers, fans, refrigerators, air-conditioners, washing machines, tumble dryers).

The Shelly 1PM Gen4 Smart Switch operates without the need for a smart hub and can easily be controlled via the Shelly Smart Control app (for iOS and Android). It is also compatible with voice assistants like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri. Once integrated, you can create automation scenes, set schedules, and trigger local actions. For example, by installing a Shelly 1PM Gen4 in both your bedroom and kitchen, you can have the lights in those rooms automatically turn on at a specific time each morning, allowing you to wake up without the need to stumble around trying to find the light switch. And since it has a power meter, you'll have access to how much power consumption is used from the lights connected to the smart switch.
