This pack of modular plugs is specifically designed for use with unshielded LAN cables (load bars not required). Unlike most pass-through RJ45 modular plugs that use a 2-prong design, the Standard 8P8C RJ45 Modular Plug uses a 3-prong pin design that provides 3 points of contact with the copper wire and not 2. This enhances electrical performance and signal integrity. It also has a unique internal design, allowing the LAN cable to be inserted further in the RJ45 plug to minimize the length of untwisted wires, which improves performance. It's light blue tint helps with identification so you'll be able to easily identify which plug is which. The Simply45 Standard 8P8C RJ45 Modular Plug is perfect for most Cat5e UTP (unshielded twisted pair) solid 24 AWG LAN cables and stranded 28-26 AWG with wire conductor sizes 0.037" – 0.041" (0.95mm – 1.05mm).
