Its design also brings the magnet closer to the sensor, which effectively reduces false alarms that can occur with older sensors. This sensor is a part of 2GIG's E+ series of extended range sensors which can reach an operation range of up to 1.2 miles with secure two-way encrypted communication for added security. The sensor supports external Normally Open or Normally closed inputs and has a battery life of up to 8 years for long-lasting use.
