Quick installation guide for the Zipato MicroModule Switch Double (PAN04), a Z-Wave in-wall dual-relay switch with power metering and overload protection.
Quick installation guide for the Zipato MicroModule Switch Double (PAN04) — an in-wall Z-Wave micromodule with two relays for controlling AC power (light switching), with power/energy metering and overload protection.
The MicroModule Switch Double is a Z-Wave™-enabled transceiver, fully compatible with any Z-Wave network. Its mini-size design lets it hide inside a standard wall box, keeping the room's decor clean — no visible module. A common application is light control: switching AC power ON and OFF to a load, most often lighting.
The module's smart relay calibration technology reduces the inrush current caused by the connected load, letting it work reliably with incandescent, fluorescent, and LED lighting.
The module detects instant power wattage (5–1500W) and overload wattage (1600–1700W) of the connected light or appliance. When it detects an overload condition, the module disables itself and its ON/OFF button is locked out, with the LED flashing quickly for 30 seconds. Unplugging and reconnecting the module resets the overload condition back to normal.
The module can proactively report instant power wattage when it varies by more than 5%, or report a state change using the S1/S2 inputs — this lets the controller avoid polling for wattage and state, improving overall controller efficiency.
Terminal layout: NEUTRAL, LIVE, NO1, NO2 (relay outputs), plus S1 and S2 input terminals for external switch inputs. Application example: In-wall switch, 2-relay, 1A type — L (line) and N (neutral) feed the module; S1/S2 connect to external switches; NO1/NO2 (relay 1/relay 2 outputs) feed Load 1 and Load 2 respectively.
