    Specification sheet for the Winland WaterBug WB-350 battery-operated water detection system — offers wide-area coverage via up to 6 wired probes and a built-in buzzer alarm.

    Overview

    Battery-operated water detection offering wide-area coverage for leak monitoring in residential, basement, and server room environments.

    Features

    • 9V battery powered (battery not included)
    • Integrated buzzer alarms on water presence and low battery
    • Includes one standard surface probe, unsupervised (W-S-U)
    • Connect up to 6 probes wired in parallel, up to 100' (30.5m), using 22-18 AWG twisted pair
    • Open collector output
    • Will not alarm due to condensation or humidity
    • Designed to detect non-flammable conductive liquids (distilled water cannot be detected)

    Mounting & Probe Placement

    Drill the console mount using only the innermost center circle. Mount the probe so its four stainless steel contacts are against the surface to be monitored — the probe alarms when water bridges those contacts and returns to no-alarm state once the surface is dry.
