    Specifications for the STI Horn/Strobe/Speaker Damage Stopper® series — models STI-9705R, STI-9708, STI-9711, and STI-9720 wire guards that protect notification appliances against vandalism and accidental damage.

    Overview

    These wire guards protect strobe, horn, and speaker units against vandalism and accidental damage. Constructed of tough 9-gauge steel wire coated with corrosion-resistant red or white polyester, they take hard knocks in stride. The STI-9705, STI-9708, STI-9711, and STI-9714 wire guards provide maximum protection for System Sensor SpectrAlert® Advance series strobe notification appliances. STI-9717 and STI-9720 fit over System Sensor notification appliances SP2R1224MC and SP2W1224MC.

    Installation and servicing are fast and simple with all screws and anchors provided. These guards are highly recommended for areas where abuse is severe or where it's imperative that strobe units continue to operate.

    Installation

    Mounting is via anchors and clamps (provided) with #10 × 1½" Phillips pan head screws. Clamps may be installed vertically or horizontally as shown in the manual's mounting diagrams. Flush-mount and surface-mount configurations are available depending on model.

    Compatibility

    STI-9705 and STI-9708 are compatible with a wide range of System Sensor SpectrAlert® Advance notification appliances (SR, SW, SW-ALERT, SW-CLR-ALERT, SRK, SWK, P2R, P2W, P4R, P4W, CHSR, CHSW, and related variants) with a 13% light de-rating factor, and with the SRH/SWH-series high-back-box variants at 0% light loss.

    STI-9711 and STI-9714 are compatible with System Sensor SCR, SCW, SCRK, SCWK, PC2R, PC2W, PC4R, PC4W, and related variants at 0% light loss.

    Approvals & Warranty

    STI-9705, STI-9708, STI-9711, and STI-9714 have been tested and approved or listed by Underwriter Laboratories and Canadian UL File S7025. All models carry a three-year guarantee against breakage in normal use.
