    Specifications and switch settings for the STI Exit Stopper series (STI-6400, STI-6402, STI-6403, STI-6404, STI-6405, and wireless WIR variants) — a multifunction door alarm that alerts you to unauthorized exits and entries through emergency exit doors and rear doors, an inexpensive theft-prevention alternative to heavy horizontal bar units.

    Product Overview

    The Exit Stopper is a self-contained, indestructible-polycarbonate alarm that mounts on top of, right, left, or next to almost any door. When the protected door opens, the electronic Exit Stopper flashes (excludes WIR models) and emits an ear-piercing alarm, with duration selectable by the user. A key-operated override silences the alarm and allows authorized exits.

    • Virtually indestructible polycarbonate housing — 3 year guarantee against breakage in normal use (1 year on electro-mechanical/electronic components)
    • May be mounted on top, right, left, or next to almost any door; not for outdoor use
    • Recommended operating temperature: 32° to 113°F
    • 105 or 95 dB warning horn
    • Exit alarm mode: sound for 30 seconds, 3 minutes, or indefinitely (unless disarmed with the supplied key, or until battery drains)
    • Annunciator mode: announces door entry with a set of beeps
    • Programmable 15-second entry delay or immediate alarm; arming delay allows unit to arm following authorized exits
    • Low battery beep and flash; extended battery life mode (excludes WIR models)
    • Includes a 9 VDC alkaline battery; available in red or green
