Installation instructions and specifications for the STI-34188, an 8-Zone Relay Board designed for use with the STI-34108 8-Channel Receiver in wireless alarm/monitoring installations.

    Overview

The STI-34188 8-Zone Relay Board mounts onto the STI-34108 8-Channel Receiver's circuit board and provides eight independent relay zones, each with Normally Open (NO), Common (C), and Normally Closed (NC) contacts. This allows a single receiver to switch up to 8 separate external devices or circuits based on wireless zone activations.

    Kit Contents / Mounting

    • 8-zone relay board (pre-assembled with terminal blocks for each zone)
    • 4 adhesive-back PCB support posts
    • 24" 4-conductor connector cable (male/female jack, 1 provided)

    Installation Steps

    1. Snap the adhesive-back PCB supports into the relay board as shown in the diagram.
    2. Peel the backing from the adhesive-back PCB supports, position the board in the desired location inside the receiver enclosure, and press firmly to secure.

    Cable Installation to Receiver (STI-34108)

    1. Remove the circuit board from the receiver base by removing the circuit board mounting screw.
    2. Drill a 5/32 in. (4mm) diameter hole in the base as shown (circuit board must be removed first).
    3. After drilling, cut out the marked area using side cutters or a knife.
    4. Route the connector cable as shown and connect it to the jack on the relay board — align the tabs on the male plug to the slots on the female jack and insert as shown.
    5. While replacing the circuit board, gently pull the cable from the bottom of the base to take up any slack that occurred during installation.
