    Full text manual (for reference)

Installation and programming manual for the STI-34098 Single Channel Slave Receiver — a wireless relay receiver that works in conjunction with a control panel, enabling wireless alert transmitters to trigger a Form "C" relay output for interconnection with other systems.

    Key Specifications

    • Works in conjunction with a control panel
    • Operating range: up to 1,000' line of sight
    • Form "C" relay, 30V AC/DC, 1A (resistive)
    • Form "C" contact enables the transmitter to interconnect with another system
    • 12VDC operation — standby: 10mA, max operating: 16mA
    • Latching or Auto Restore operating mode
    • Receives signal from only one transmitter — programming a second transmitter deletes the original

    Modes of Operation

    Mode Event Sounder LED Relay
Program Power ON Start-up tone Alternating RED/GREEN Normal
Activate transmitter Double beep Alternating RED/GREEN Normal
Latching Power ON (normal) Start-up tone Flash GREEN every 2-3s Normal
Activate transmitter Double beep Solid RED Switched
Transmitter restores No sound Flashing RED Switched
Auto Restore Power ON (normal) Start-up tone Flash GREEN every 2-3s Normal
Activate transmitter Double beep Solid RED Switched
Transmitter restores No sound Flash GREEN every 2-3s Normal

    Programming Instructions

    1. Move switch to Program. LED will flash RED and GREEN.
    2. Program the transmitter into the receiver by activating the transmitter. Speaker double-beeps to confirm programming.
    3. Move the mode switch to the intended mode (Latching or Auto Restore).
    4. Activate the transmitter to confirm enrollment.

Latching mode: Move switch to center position — LED turns GREEN and flashes every 2-3 seconds. When activated, sounder double-beeps and LED turns solid RED. When a restore signal is received from the transmitter, LED flashes RED (must be manually cleared).

Auto Restore mode: Move switch to bottom position — LED flashes GREEN every 2-3 seconds. When activated, LED goes solid RED until the restore transmission is received, then returns to flashing GREEN automatically.

    Restoring a Latched Receiver

    • Move slide switch to Auto Restore, then back to Latching
    • Use Keyfob (STI-34106) — press OFF, then press ON
    • Hard-wire a momentary switch to the yellow reset leads and cycle it

    Keyfob Operation (STI-34106)

    • ON/OFF: resets a latched receiver back to normal after the restore signal is sent
    • RED/WHITE buttons act as an alert transmitter — RED sends the alert signal, WHITE sends the restore signal

Programming the Keyfob: Move switch to Program Mode (LED flashes alternating RED/GREEN). Press ON and OFF together to enroll the reset function (receiver beeps twice). While still in Program Mode, press RED and WHITE together to enroll the transmitter buttons (receiver beeps twice). Enrolling a new keyfob deletes any previously enrolled keyfob or transmitter.

    Supervisory Signal

Indicated by a flashing amber LED (alternating RED/GREEN) plus a sounder beep once per minute. Appears within 18-24 hours and signals one of three conditions:

    1. Tamper on transmitter is open
    2. Low battery signal from transmitter
    3. Transmitter is out of range

    Notes

    • Receives signal from only one transmitter; programming a second transmitter deletes the original.
    • If a signal from another 433.92 MHz transmitter is received, the LED flashes GREEN for 3-5 seconds.
    • Professional installation only.
    • When installed without the STI-34099 case, install inside a panel enclosure to protect against ESD, and use appropriate ESD handling during installation.
