Speco O4P30X2 — 4MP PTZ Network Camera User Manual

User manual for the Speco Technologies O4P30X2 — a 4MP PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) network camera with built-in PoE, IP66/IP67 outdoor rating, and remote viewing support via web browser, mobile app, and CMS/VMS software.

Safety & Installation Notes

• Use only a certified 12VDC / 24VDC / 24VAC power supply — do not connect two power sources simultaneously, which can damage the device.
• Product must be grounded to reduce risk of electric shock; installation should be done by qualified personnel only.
• Install in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and extreme temperatures.
• Do not block ventilation openings or expose the camera to electromagnetic radiation (risk of CMOS sensor failure).
• Clean the dome cover with an oil-free soft brush or hair dryer for dust; use oil-free cotton or alcohol-dampened paper wiped from the lens center outward for grease/fingerprints. Never wipe the dome cover with regular cloth.

Web Access & Login

• Camera defaults to DHCP — use the included IP Scanner utility to discover the camera's assigned IP address, model number, and MAC address on the local network.
• Double-click the device in IP Scanner to open the web viewer, or enter the IP address directly in a browser (Internet Explorer 8+).
• Default login: username admin, password 1234. Install any required plug-ins after logging in for full video viewing.

PTZ Menu Setup (On-Screen Menu)

Call Preset 95 from the PTZ control panel in the IE remote preview interface to open the on-screen main menu (menu requires 1920x1080 live resolution). Key sub-menus:

• System Information: View software/firmware version, camera model, system temperature, date, dome ID, protocol, and baud rate.
• System Setup: Auto PT Flip, Language (English/Chinese), RS485 Setup (Dome ID 001-255, PELCO-D/P protocol, baud rate 1200-9600bps), Date Setup, Title Setup, North Setup (reference angle calibration), New/Change Password (6-digit numeric), Auto Exit Time.
• Camera Setup: Camera Control, Image Setup, Lens Setup, Day & Night Setup, Infrared Control, Video Format, Smart IR Setup.
• Dome Function: Preset Setup, Cruise Setup, Group Setup, Task Setup, Trace Setup, Alarm Setup, Home Position, Wiper Setup.
• Display Setup and Load Default (factory reset).

Camera Configuration (Web Interface)

System

System Information, Date and Time, Local Recording, and Storage (SD card record schedule and snapshot settings) under System Configuration.

Video Configuration

Image Configuration, Video/Audio Configuration, OSD Configuration, and Video Mask (privacy masking zones).

PTZ Configuration

PTZ and Password Setting, Restore, and PTZ Function.

Event Setup — Alarms & Motion Detection

• Motion Detection: Enable motion-based alarms; set trigger actions — Alarm Out (external relay), Trigger Snapshot (SD card image capture), Trigger SD Recording, Trigger Email (with attached picture, requires email configured first), Trigger FTP. Adjust sensitivity and draw the detection zone under the "Area and Sensitivity" tab, then set a detection schedule.
• Other Alarms (Anomaly): SD Card Full, SD Card Error, IP Address Conflict, and Cable Disconnected — each with its own Enable toggle, alarm holding time, and trigger options (same setup flow as Motion Detection).
• Alarm In (Sensor Input): Available on select models — configure alarm type, holding time, sensor name, trigger options, and schedule.
• Alarm Out: Available on select models — modes include Alarm Linkage, Manual Operation, Day/Night Switch Linkage, and Schedule.
• Alarm Server and Smart Tracking are also configurable under Event Setup.

Analytics Configuration

Abnormality detection, Line Crossing, Intrusion, Region Entrance, Region Exiting, Target Counting, and Face Comparison — advanced video analytics available on supported models.

Network Configuration

TCP/IP, Port, Server Configuration, DDNS, SNMP, 802.1x, RTSP, UPnP, Email, FTP, HTTPS, and QoS settings.

Security & Maintenance

User Admin, Online User monitoring, Block/Allow Lists, and Security Management under Security Configuration. Backup and Restore, Reboot, Upgrade, and Operation Log under Maintenance Configuration.

Search

• Image Search: Choose Picture → Local, set the date/time range, click search, and double-click a result to view captured photos saved on PC or SD card.
• Video Search: Local video search or SD card video search for recorded footage playback.
• Face Match Result Search: Available on models with face comparison analytics enabled.
