    Full text manual (for reference)

Owner's manual for the Sonic Alert Sonic Boom Alarm Clock with Bed Shaker (Model SB1000V) — a loud, extra-strong alarm clock with vibrating bed shaker and remote receiver support for the hearing impaired.

    Overview

The Sonic Boom SB1000V is designed to wake even the deepest sleepers using a combination of loud alarm tones, a bright flashing display/lamp, and a bed shaker (vibrator) placed under the mattress or pillow. It's compatible with Sonic Alert wireless remote transmitters for signaling doorbells, telephones, and baby cries.

    Test Mode

    • If no button is pressed within 1 minute of entering Test Mode, the clock automatically exits back to Time Mode.
    • While in Test Mode, sliding the Outlet Switch demonstrates the clock's different functions.
    • Pressing any button (except Snooze, Time, and Lamp, which have no effect) exits Test Mode immediately.

    Setting the Alarm Duration

Press and hold the ALARM button for six seconds. The display shows the default alarm duration ("30"), then release the ALARM button.

    Snooze & Alarm Off

    • Snooze: Pressing the SNOOZE button turns off the alarm signal for 9 minutes; after 9 minutes the alarm sounds again.
    • Alarm Off: Pressing ALARM OFF turns off the alarm and automatically resets it to go off at the same time the next day.
    • Setting the OUTLETS switch to OFF disables the alarm entirely. It will not sound again until the switch is set back to LAMP, VIB, or BOTH.

    Adjusting Snooze Duration

    1. Press and hold the SNOOZE button for four seconds — the display shows the default snooze time ("9").
    2. Press the "MIN" button to adjust snooze duration anywhere from 1 to 30 minutes.
    3. The display returns to normal clock mode after 3 seconds once the desired duration is shown. This setting becomes the new default until changed again.

    Dimmer Operation

The clock has a built-in auto dimmer for the display.

    Battery Backup

In the event of a power interruption, the clock can run on a 9V battery (not included) to preserve the time and alarm settings until power is restored.

    Remote Transmitter / Receiver Compatibility

The SB1000V works with Sonic Alert wireless remote transmitters, including:

    • DB100/200 Doorbell Signaler
    • TR75VR Telephone Signaler
    • BC400 Baby Cry Signaler

To enable remote receiver functionality, locate the RECEIVER ON/OFF button and set it to ON. Press and hold the ALARM OFF button for 3 seconds to toggle the receiver between ON and OFF status — a round indicator light at the top right corner shows the current status. The factory default setting is ON. If you are not using Sonic Alert remote transmitters, set the mode to OFF.
