Installation instructions for the Skylink Door/Window Sensor, Model WD-MT β€” monitors door/window open/closed status and works with the SkylinkNet Internet Hub or the Skylink M-Series Alert/Alarm System.

    Package Contents

    • Door/Window Sensor
    • Magnet
    • Mounting Accessories

Note: The battery for the sensor (AAA Alkaline) is not included.

    Step 1 β€” Insert a Battery

    1. Press both sides and open the cover of the Door/Window Sensor.
    2. Insert an AAA battery and close the cover.

Step 2 β€” Programming with the M-Series Main Console

Note: You can program up to 4 sensors in one zone. Programming a 5th sensor will remove the first.

    1. Press the learn button on the back of the M-Series Main Console for 3 seconds until the Zone 1 light flashes.
    2. Zone 1 is selected by default. Press the learn button to select the zone you want to program the sensor to.
    3. Activate the sensor by separating the magnetic contact.
    4. Once programmed, the Main Console beeps once and the corresponding zone LED turns off.

Step 3 β€” Programming with the SkylinkNet Internet Hub

Programming via SkylinkNet must be done from the SkylinkNet App.

    1. Go to "More" and tap on "System Settings".
    2. Tap on "Setup Wizard".
    3. Tap on "Add Device".
    4. Tap on "Sensors".
    5. Tap on "Door Sensor" or "Window Sensor".
    6. Name your sensor and location, tap "Continue".
    7. Tap on "Learn Now" and follow the in-app video to activate the sensor.

    Step 4 β€” Testing with M-Series Alert/Alarm System

    1. Slide the switch at the back of the Main Console to Alert Mode.
    2. Activate the sensor by separating the magnetic contact β€” the Main Console will start beeping and flash the Zone LED.
    3. Move the magnetic contact back to the sensor β€” beeping stops.

Step 5 β€” Testing with SkylinkNet Alarm System

    1. Activate the sensor by separating the magnetic contact β€” the blue icon in the app turns red, indicating the door/window is open.
    2. Move the magnetic contact back to the sensor β€” the icon turns back to blue, indicating closed.

Step 6 β€” Installing the Sensor

Mount the Door/Window Sensor on your door or window with the included double-sided tape. It can also be used to monitor or protect cabinets and safes.

If the mounting surface is rough, install the mounting plate with screws first, then attach the sensor to the mounting plate with double-sided tape.

    Battery Indication / Sensor Failure

The corresponding zone LED on the M-Series Main Console will flash if a sensor failure or low battery occurs. If this happens:

    1. Check that the sensor is located where it should be.
    2. Check for any physical damage to the sensor.
    3. Move the Main Console closer to the sensor β€” if the red LED stops flashing, the Main Console or sensor needs to be relocated.
    4. Replace the sensor's battery if the Main Console doesn't respond when the sensor is activated within short range.

    Troubleshooting β€” M-Series Alert/Alarm System

    Problem Solution
The M-Series Main Console does not respond to the sensor You must program the sensor to the control panel before they can work together.
Can I erase just one sensor from a zone? You must erase all sensors in that zone, then re-program the ones you want to keep.
Multiple sensors in a zone with a flashing failure LED β€” which sensor is failing? You need to test each sensor individually.
