Section 1 — Installing the Wall Switch Receiver

    1. Loosen the screws on the wall plate cover of the Wall Switch Receiver and remove it.
    2. Install the Wall Switch with the 3 wires — Live, Load, and Ground — using the provided wire nuts (C). Neutral wire is not required and cannot be connected to the Wall Switch Receiver.
    3. Ensure all wire connectors are secure with no exposed copper wiring, then secure the Wall Switch with screws.
    4. Make sure the air gap switch is off, then turn the circuit breaker back on.
    5. Place the air gap switch to ON — the two blue LEDs will light. If the LEDs stay off, check that the light bulb is installed correctly and wiring connections are correct.
    6. Tap the metal touch plate to turn lights on/off.

Note: The receiver operates incandescent or dimmable compact fluorescent light up to 300W at 120VAC. Bulbs must be dimmable to achieve the dimming function. If replacing an existing 3-way switch, disable one switch and replace the other with the Wall Switch Receiver.

Section 2 — Setting Up the Wireless Wall Switch Transmitter

The transmitter ships with a lithium battery pre-installed — remove the battery isolator tag before installing.

    Installing with Double-Sided Tape

    1. Clean the wall surface where you plan to install the transmitter.
    2. Place the two foam tapes (E) on the back of the transmitter plate.
    3. Peel off the foam tape cover and stick it to the wall surface.

Installing with Screws — Existing Wall Box

    1. Loosen the screws on the transmitter's wall plate cover and tighten the two included screws (D) to the existing wall box back plate.
    2. Tighten the two screws on the wall plate to secure it.
    3. The transmitter is now ready to be controlled.

Installing with Screws — New Wall Surface

    1. Drill two small pilot holes and insert anchors (D) before tightening the back plate with screws (D).
    2. Tighten the two screws on the wall plate to secure it.
    3. The transmitter is now ready to be controlled.

    Section 3 — Operation

Wall Switch Receiver: Tap the metal touch plate to turn lights on/off. Tap and hold to dim or brighten.

Wireless Wall Switch Transmitter: Push the pad from one position to the other to turn lights on/off. To dim/brighten: push the pad to turn on, then press and hold the same (upper) pad.

Section 4 — Programming a Transmitter to the Receiver

    1. Touch the metal touch plate on the receiver to turn lights on — the two blue LEDs should go off.
    2. Press and hold the receiver's learn button (use a pen or pencil, not a finger) for about 3 seconds until the upper blue LED flashes quickly, then release.
    3. Press the learn button on the Wireless Wall Switch transmitter — its red LED will be on for 15 seconds.
    4. Press the pad (switch) on the transmitter — the red LED flashes then turns off, and the receiver's upper blue LED also turns off.
    5. Both are now programmed.

Section 5 — Erasing All Programmed Devices

Warning: this erases all previously programmed devices — you'll need to re-program anything you want to keep.

    1. Power off the receiver by sliding the air gap switch to off.
    2. Press and hold the learn button, then slide the air gap switch back to on.
    3. The blue LEDs turn on, then off.
    4. Release the learn button — all devices are now erased.

Section 6 — On/Off Mode vs. Dimming Mode

Factory default operating mode is On/Off. Non-dimmable loads must always run in On/Off Mode — using a non-dimmable CFL under Dimming Mode may damage it.

    1. Turn the light on with the programmed transmitter or touch pad.
    2. Press and hold the transmitter's button (or touch the pad) for 10 seconds — LED flashes quickly.
    3. The light will flash once for On/Off Mode, or twice for Dimming Mode.
    4. Repeat step 2 to toggle between modes.

Section 7 — Flashing Alert Mode

When activated, the connected light flashes for a set interval, then turns off. Complete the sequence within 15 seconds or restart from step 1.

    1. Hold the receiver's learn button for ~10 seconds until the upper blue LED flashes slowly, then release.
    2. Press the transmitter's learn button.
    3. Both blue LEDs flash quickly and stop — programming complete.

Section 8 — Countdown Timer Mode

When activated, the light stays on for a predetermined interval, then turns off.

    1. Hold the receiver's learn button for ~20 seconds until the upper blue LED is on steadily, then release.
    2. Press the transmitter's learn button.
    3. Both blue LEDs flash quickly and stop — programming complete.

Section 9 — Setting Timer Duration

For transmitters programmed to Flashing Alert or Countdown Timer Mode. Connected light must be off with both blue LEDs on. Press and hold the learn button for 3 seconds until the lower blue LED flashes — the number of flashes indicates the duration, changing every 6 seconds while held.

    Number of Flashes Timer Duration
    1 1 min
    2 5 min
    3 15 min
    4 30 min
    5 60 min

To stop a countdown early, press a programmed button for regular mode. Note: if another timer signal is received mid-countdown, the timer resets and extends the on-period.

Section 10 — Replacing the Battery

    1. Remove the wall plate from the Wireless Wall Switch transmitter (loosen the two screws).
    2. Slide out the existing battery.
    3. Insert the new CR2032 battery, positive side up, sliding it in and pressing down to lock it in place.

The red LED lights for one second when a fresh battery is installed.

    Troubleshooting

    Problem Solution
Receiver LEDs and connected load will not turn on Ensure wires are connected correctly (see Section 1) and held together, side by side, inside the wire nuts. Check the circuit breaker is on.
My switch has more than 3 wires in the wall box If there are white (neutral) wires, connect them together with a wire nut. Only connect Load and Live wires to the Wall Switch Receiver.
Wall Switch Receiver is getting warm to the touch This is normal. Ensure the connected load does not exceed the maximum rating.
Range is decreasing Keep the antenna wire as straight as possible; route it directly into the drywall or through the wall box hole.
Light takes a long time to turn off when set to Timer Mode Confirm the desired timer duration is set. Check that no other Timer Mode signals are being received, which would extend the ON period.
Can I connect a 600W light? No — purchase the Skylink Wall Switch Receiver (WE-001/WE-318) instead.
Can I dim a CFL with the Wall Switch Receiver? Only if the CFL itself is rated dimmable.
