Installation guide for the Skylink® RP-318 Wireless Repeater, which extends the range of Household Alert sensors.
Installation guide for the Skylink® RP-318 Wireless Repeater — extends the range of Skylink Household Alert sensors by receiving and re-broadcasting their signal to your receiver unit.
Position the repeater at least 3 feet above the ground, centrally located between the furthest sensors and the receiver unit it communicates with. Keep the area around the repeater clear of other wireless devices to avoid interference.
Activate an existing Skylink Household Alert sensor 1–2 feet in front of the repeater. When the repeater receives and repeats the signal, its red light will flash. Note: some delay in responding may be evident when repeating signals.
The repeater can run on either a 9V battery or an external AC power adapter. Plug the AC adapter into the "DC JACK" position, then turn the power on.
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to: (1) it may not cause harmful interference, and (2) it must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. This equipment has been tested and complies with Class B digital device limits, providing reasonable protection against interference in a residential installation — though interference in a particular installation is not guaranteed to be absent.
