    The Skylink KP-434 Keypad Transmitter is a wireless keypad accessory that operates Skylink swing door openers, the Total Protection System (SC-001/SC-100/SC-1000), and the AAA+™ Home Smart Center panel. It ships with batteries installed and includes mounting accessories.

    Overview

    The keypad transmitter works differently depending on which Skylink product it's paired with. Instructions are grouped into three sections — one per product line. Before programming, remove the battery isolator tab. The factory default password is [0][0][0].

    Swing Door Opener

    Programming

    1. Put the opener in standby mode (adapter plugged in, red LED on steadily, opener not moving).
    2. Press and hold the Learn button on the opener — the red LED flashes and the buzzer beeps, indicating learn mode.
    3. While still holding the Learn button, activate the keypad by pressing [0][0][0][#]. A long beep and the LED turning off confirms the keypad is now programmed.
    4. Open/Close mode only: repeat the process, pressing [0][0][0][C] instead to program the close command.

    Operation

    There are three operating modes for the swing door opener — Toggle, Open/Close, and Timer (refer to the opener's own manual for mode details).

    • Toggle mode: press [0][0][0][#] to open or close the door.
    • Open/Close mode: press [0][0][0][#] to open, [0][0][0][C] to close.

    Erasing Transmitters

    1. Unplug the door opener while in standby mode.
    2. Press and hold the Learn button, then plug the adapter back in while still holding it.
    3. The red LED flashes and the buzzer beeps rapidly — all transmitters are now erased. Release the Learn button and reprogram the transmitter(s) you want to use.

    Total Protection System (SC-001)

    Programming

    1. Enter the Master PIN (MPIN) on the control panel.
    2. Press [B].
    3. Press [5] to select the zone the keypad will communicate on — only program to this designated zone or the transmitter will not work.
    4. Press [*] within 8 seconds; the panel gives a long beep.
    5. Activate the keypad by pressing the red panic button — the "ON" light comes on and the panel gives a long beep confirming the link.

    [Password] can be the master or a secondary password.

    Erasing Transmitters

    1. Enter the master password, press [B], then [5], then [*].
    2. Do not activate any transmitter for 30 seconds after pressing [*] — this erases all transmitters in zone 5.
    3. Re-program any transmitters you want to keep using.

    AAA+™ Home Smart Center

    Programming

    Up to 5 keypad transmitters can be programmed to the AAA+ panel, each to its own location.

    Step Keys Function
    1 [PROG] [MPIN] Enter master password to enter programming mode (3 beeps = valid, 1 long beep = invalid).
    2 [4] Select learn-remote programming — zone LEDs show which locations are already occupied.
    3 [6]–[0] Select a remote location (max 5 remotes). That zone LED turns on.
    4 Press any button Activates and stores the remote's signal; you'll hear "Device X Accepted."

    Erasing Remotes

    Step Keys Function
    1 [PROG] [MPIN] Enter master password to enter programming mode.
    2 [0] Select erase-remote programming.
    3 [6]–[0] Select the occupied remote location to erase; you'll hear "Device X Empty Memory."

    Changing Password

    Up to 4 total passwords are supported per keypad: 1 master (programming + operation) and 3 secondary (operation only).

    Change Master Password

    1. Enter the current password (default 000).
    2. Press [*], then [0], then [*].
    3. Enter the new password (3–6 digits), then press [*].

    A long beep confirms success; 3 short beeps means it failed — start over.

    Assign / Change Secondary Password

    1. Enter the current master password, press [*].
    2. Press the number for the secondary user ([1], [2], or [3]), press [*].
    3. Enter the new secondary password (3–6 digits), press [*].

    Delete Secondary Password

    1. Enter the current master password, press [*].
    2. Press the number for the secondary user, press [*], then [*] again.

    Battery

    The keypad operates on two 3V lithium CR2032 batteries, shipped pre-installed. Replace them when the "LO BATT" indicator lights up during use.

    1. Remove the keypad from the wall.
    2. Undo the screw on the back and rotate open the battery compartment.
    3. Remove the old batteries and insert new ones, matching polarity.
    4. Close the compartment and reinsert the screw.

    FCC Part 15 Class B compliant; CE compliant per EN 301489-3, EN300220-3, EN60950-1, EN50371. Warranty: 1 year from purchase against defects in workmanship/materials (excludes batteries); repair or replacement with proof of purchase and Return Authorization.
