Installation instructions for the Simply45 S45-2024SU 24-Port Unloaded Shielded Keystone Patch Panel — 1RU, rear cable management bracket, numbered/labeled ports, with ground wire. Supports shielded keystone jacks for 10GBaseT, Cat6 & Cat5e.

Installation Steps

1. Mount the panel to the desired position on a standard 483 mm (19 in.) rack-ready rack or equivalent.
2. Terminate cables on the RJ45 modules — follow the RJ45 keystone module's own installation instructions to finish cable termination on each module before installing into the panel.
3. Install each module — position the cable-assembled RJ45 module from the back of the panel, then snap it into the RJ45 window all the way down until the latch on the module locks into the panel. Repeat in sequence until all required RJ45 modules are installed.
4. Attach the cable management grip — expand the foldable cable management grip and hook the grips into the fixture at both ends of the patch panel.
5. Secure the cables — fix the solid cables to the cable fixture hole using cable ties.

Notes

• The panel includes a grounding wire — be sure to properly ground the panel per your installation requirements for shielded (STP) cabling.
• Supports CAT6/6A/7A shielded jacks.
• This is an unloaded panel — keystone jacks/modules are sold separately and terminated by the installer.
