    Specification sheet for the Simply Automated Model UFD/UFR Fixture Dimmer / Relay-Timer Modules, for wired-in "hidden" control and timed-off control of lighting and appliances.

    Description

    Models UFD and UFR are wire-in fixture modules with a timer feature, designed to remotely control 120VAC appliances and lighting using Universal Powerline Bus (UPB) commands and scene-links received over the powerline. They're easily added to a UPB powerline network and configured for ultra-reliable dimming and on/off control with UPStart (PC-based) software. They can also be directly wired to and controlled with a remote switch (model USR) for a flexible, low-cost alternative to hardwired or RF home automation strategies.

    • Model UFD delivers ON/OFF, dimming, and timed-off control for lamps and lighting fixtures from 1 Watt minimum to 300W maximum.
    • Model UFR delivers ON/OFF and timed-off control for lighting, appliances, fans, and pump/motors up to 12A.

    These modules fit easily inside a standard electrical junction box and have snap-off mounting ears for tighter installs, or can mount to other surfaces using screws/ties. They connect directly to existing household power wiring. The connected load can be operated manually via a UPB wall switch or multi-button controller, or automatically via a scheduler-timer (model UCS), I/O module (model UMI-32), PC, or home automation server.

    Manual scene-link modification capabilities are unique to Simply Automated US2 and US22 Dimmer-Controllers — a user can change existing scenes (adding/removing devices, adjusting light levels) by pressing rocker/buttons in a specific sequence, without using UPStart.
